First post, new '05 rx8, new to NoVA

Just wanted to introduce myself
I picked up a titanium gray '05 MT with touring and appearance package a couple of weeks ago.
I'm still new to the DC/VA/MD area, and i'm trying to find some shops around here where i can buy accessories/upgrades for my 8?
I'm originally from new york, and i'm used to having a choice of several shops to pick and choose my parts from(Eastern, Clawz, Ultima, Fizz, Big Boys Toys, etc. . ). Are there any places like that around here?
I know i could pretty much get anything on the web, but sometimes you just wanna go to shop and come home with some goodies
For now, i'm just looking for little stuff, i.e. shift *****, foglight bulbs, license plate frames, blah blah etc. .
Someone please tell me there's at least one shop like that around here.

welcome to the forum, as for those items you can check the for sale section here(which is usually larger items than you mention), or search the forum for a vendor or website. I think your best bet would be to order those items from the internet and get them mailed, items like that are cheap as hell to ship and you can find exactly what you want. good luck

Thanks.
so i'm guessing that's a negative on local shops?
I know i'm probably going to just end up buying everything online, but i'm gonna miss the store interaction, you know what i mean, or even seeing the product up front.
my previous car was a swapped civic hatchback, and i bought my intake, rims, and exhaust at retailers, but when I did the swap, i went online.

Welcome to the club. I thik you'll find there is no beating the prices on the web for parts. Some of them ship pretty fast also.

Welcome to the club itspec. Your gonna love that car!! Rosenthal does have a nice reputation although I've only purchased online from them. If the 8 (or Mazda's for that matter) ever become a popular purchase like your Civic, you may start to see more local shops specializing in them. As it stands, all of our best vendors are definately online. The forums will give you plenty of experiance from other members (and tons of pics). You'll feel like you went to a store.

Nice to have another Virginian on the forum. There are a few on RX8web.com too.

Welcome to the Cult!

I've gotten a few things on the web from Rosenthal ... Tommy ... very efficient ... given the quick shipping, I imagine they haved a lot on hand in their parts department.
Polak is good also ... you'll need a decal....
check out the vendors on the main page of the site.

I'm from Va but now live in Md.

You will love driving the 8!
