Feb 16th MSCW tech session at Arlington Mazda
The next Virginia tech session for Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington members is Wednesday evening February 16th from 6:30 to 8:45. This session will be held in the service center of Rosenthal Mazda Arlington, 750 N Glebe Road. This is across the street from Ballston Common Mall and only two blocks from I-66. There is a $5 fee per person (members and visitors) which we use to provide pizza and sodas.
Reservations are required to ensure sufficient participation to warrant keeping the service center open for us and to schedule service bay times when demand exceeds available space. Please RSVP to VaTSession@aol.com or send me a private message. Please provide your name, if you are working on your car what you intend to do, intent to use a lift or not, or just coming to observe. Due to insurance/liability requirements, membership is required to use the service bays and lifts. You may join at the event. ($26)
MSCW tech sessions allow members to perform minor maintenance and service on their own MAZDA using the dealer's service bays and lifts. You must bring your own tools and plan on a task(s) that will take an hour or less to perform. Typical items in the past have been fluid changes, muffler replacement, some brake work, visual inspections, etc. Ever seen the underside of your RX-8? Rosenthal's technicians and other club members will be available to offer advice. The parts department will be open and offer a discount on parts and supplies. NOTE: The dealership provides their facilities free of charge. The only income they receive is your parts department purchase. We encourage you to show your support and gratitude for their time and facilities by considering patronizing the parts department. You do not have to limit your purchases to items used that evening.
Visitors are welcome to come and observe what goes on. You may also be able to see the RX-8 Shinka Special Edition if 1)It finally arrived and 2)It hasn't been sold.

Paul,
I plan on being there too to install my Racing Beat A/C screen - RB oil coolers screens are already on. You can compare draco067's DLS Customs screens with my RBs at that time.

The tech session is filling up with folks that plan to do something to their Mazda. If you want to be one of them, please RSVP as soon as possible. I may have to schedule time slots if demand exceeds space. Send me a private messge or RSVP to VaTSession@aol. Remember, MSCW membership is required to use the service bays so we are covered insurance-wise. If you have yet to join, you can do so that evening.
Observers Welcome!
