Dawn, don't be intimadated by SCCA. Yeah, the boys are hard core, (in fact there are a couple of ladies that are just as much so) but we also have a good time with it, and the track is one of the longer in the area.

AutoX in general is a blast, especially since there are not that many places you can go all out without being concerned for cops.

Take care,
Lynn

Yes, but only go so far - haven't let hubby buy r-type tires and different wheels just for autocross. I did let him put in a different rear strut bar and change the alignment - +1 for the alignment, still not sure about the strut bar, has a tendancy to oversteer a lot more.

Yeah just realized I may have have screwed myself over w/some of the mods I have on my car...May have to remove some things, & learn to just drive & maneuver first, then work my way up...What all you have done to your car Dawn?...Hey they also have some kind of team challenge goin on, not to sure on the details on that but if intersted we can definately get sumtin started

Lynn- sounds good. Do you and your husband share the car for auto x? Thats cool if you do!! Now when you changed the alignment did you tell them to align it for auto x? I was thinking about getting my alignment done.

Derex- I haven't really done anything with mine yet. Its a 2007 and I bought it in November, so $ is a lil tight for that right now. I will add stuff to it when I graduate in December, slowly but surely!!! Everything Ive done has been cosmetic. I had graphics put on and smoked out my lights, I supposed to get the windows done soon..I slept through my last appt. haha. well i was kinda passed out and there was no waking me! haha. I also wanted to start out without any modifications to get to know the car a lil more than work my way up. A team challenge sounds interesting...yea I would like to know a lil more about that.

Hey Dawn check this out https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-racing-25/alignment-settings-street-track-use-43308/ plenty of Auto-X & track settings for the rx8 to be had here...I'd suggest acquiring some settings from some 8 owners who Auto-X and have the alignment shop or whoever set your car up to those specs...
