i just drove up to new england to see some friends the radar detector works well but the laser blockers are absolutely hilarious i came around this curve on 95 doing about 90 here in maryland and this cop nails me with lidar so the system pipes up laser blocking active thru the speaker :o so i start slowing down and the cop cant get a read so he starts pushing buttons and tries to get me again when it doesnt work this time he starts beating the **** out of the gun like somethings wrong with it i had to try really hard not to laugh as i went :p by him doing just over 70 it is definetly worth it they had lidar up like four different places in maryland i think its just about all the state troopers use

 

That's awesome! What kind of detector is this? Sounds intriguing, especially because I don't have my own yet.

 

its a beltronics rx75 plus the plus means it has the laser blocking i think

yea...take 100 west. then exit @ the arundel mills exit. when you get to the light, turn left onto arundel mills blvd. keep going straight and when you get the the 4th light, make a left, you are now in the circuit city blvd.

 

just tell me what it is next to. is it over by starbucks or by the hotels or what. I hate directions... That is why i have a nav system... :D

 

I'll have to look for some reviews on it, have you used any other detectors? If so, how does it compare? Thanks!

i bought mine a while ago but i think i paid like 600 on ebay and that came with everything including the amplified speaker and other stuff expensive but aewsome i never really saw the point in having a radar detector in the window for every cop to see even if you slow down some they still might get you just cause its there so i wanted a hideaway one and now that lidar is out there why not protect yourself from that too i feel like i am driving in a fortress of course i am sure the cops will catch me someday with there trojan horse but until then...
