Calling All RX8 in Buffalo, NY

Hey,

I have had my RX8 for quite some time now and I can't seem to see any others. Are there any other RX8 owners in Buffalo, give a shout back and we cud schedule and Meet and Greet. :D

I'm just curious what you are driving around for your winter car? When I lived off of Elmwood, near Buffalo State, I was driving an '01 Merc Cougar. And fortunately we didn't get alot of snow compared to the year or 2 before.

Also, on Sat or Sun night (can't remember), there's a car meet off of Transit past Eastern Hills Mall. I think it's just as you get into Amherst, correct me if I'm wrong. Left side of the road there's a club or something. It's a bit before the Tim Horton's.

I have a 1997 Chrysler LHS (FWD) that I would drive for the winter. I saw an 8 this morning off the Exit 49 Toll gate, it was a pretty girl driving a velocity red and I have a velocity red too but no chance to wave.

So u guys meet on Sat or Sun, how often? Have u met at all

i moved to Virginia Beach/Norfolk about 2 years ago. i miss going to all the Buffalo Bill's games, but I certainly don't miss the snow....that much.

I'm sure some of the other local car groups up there can tell you what i'm referring too. otherwise, I'll see if i can get ahold of some of the guys from Empire NECO (New Edge Cougar Owners).

Hey Sick,
I have an '04 Ti Grey which I picked up in Oct.03. I've driven thru 2 winters here with Pirrelli snows.no problems. I live in Williamsville and have seen 2 blues ,a silver and a red. The 8 is pretty rare around here and I know both Mazda dealers have been sold out of 05s for a couple of months. Keep in touch

Hi Jimbo,

So the car handles good in the snow? That's good to hear...now I can sell my other car. What dealership do u go to? I go to Northtown on Sheridan.

I am in Buffalo (downtown) 4 days a week on business. I have a velocity red with Ontario plates. I haven't seen any other RX8's here.

Is there a good dealership near downtown that anyone can recommend?

I have a velocity red too.

Thx...I parked at Franklin and Court last week and saw a velocity red in the lot there...perhaps it was you?

I've only seen a few myself round Buffalo tho did see a red one yesterday in the 90E. I got my 2004 Ti last September and drive it April - October or November when I switch to a Pacifica...

I'm up for a meet if it works with my schedule.

So why did you switch to a Pacifica? I have seen a couple 8s around but they are always parked and no owners around. I'll keep this thread bumped for 2 more weeks to see if any other owners see it and we can schedule a brief meet to see what everyone's got and lend support.

I'll keep you guys posted.

edit: must be me you saw, I am only ways on 90E

i used to have an envoy as my other car - the pacifica still has enough room for my kids but handles better than the envoy. i still only drive it as a last resort - if it's a nice day and i don't have to have a bigger car, i'm driving my 8.

my other car is a 1997 Chrysler LHS. That would be my winter car since it's a front wheel drive. I like driving my 8 a lot but try not to put too much miles on it. I am getting fender strakes put in a week or so. I got them ordered from Howard on ebay yesterday. Still looking for other affordable ways to make the car look better.
