My car did something like that before after I wired up my Profec E-01. I don't have the stock Radio, but no climate control worked. I thought I shorted something, so i reached between the cigarette lighter, and the panel and put my fingers through the bottom to feel if a wire came loose, and it turned back on. I'm sorry to hear you sold your car chrism, but hopefully this will help somebody else?

I was recently at an event in englishtown where my car was sitting in the heat all day.....well something shorted out that morning i guess and the center dash doesnt work......no display, no radio, no heat, no air.....so i take the car to Wayne Mazda (who are great by the way) and they were about to diagnowe it and caught the warantee issue before working on it (saving me a diagnosis fee).....they told me it was in my best interest to go to my selling dealer to get them to fix it......wayne thought it might be a clerical error that Sansone did when selling the car...it made no sense that my 4/50k warantee was up if i bought the car on 02/05.....i still thought i had 8 months left

I go over to Sansone (thieves) and discuss this with the sales manager and finance manager and they told me it was not them and Mazda RDR'd the car back in 06/04 and it was a Mazda issue and not thiers (more lies).....and then they told me the car was a demo car and should never have been sold as new....(i sure as f00k paid for a new car!).....so they said as a show of good faith they would diagnose the car and if the rep allowed it they would fix it while i was there....now i am waiting for 2 hours and my car never gets moved out of the service bay from where i left it!.....I ask the service manager (Don Way) why he did nothing and he tells me because i have a body kit and guages (that have nothing to do with the short because they arent even remotely connected).....so i asked if he was even gonna look and he said NOin a stern voice......so i ask for my keys, and then leave the dealer.......

I finally get home and call MNAO and tell them the whole story......the customer service that they have is what is keeping me in the brand to be honest with you.....they handled everything with true professionalism and are taking care of me getting a new car.....unfortunately because of the fraudulent things and lies that were told to me I can not take another chance on my 04 rx-8.....so she must go......I am not going away......I will be here because i have gained not just friends but family with allot of you......so when i part out please keep in mind the dilemma i am having.......i am very upside down on my car and need to come up with out of pocket to get a new car......please try not to lowball me on my toys.....all the NE people know what condition my stuff is in and i have plenty of good guy threads to prove that you can trust me........well there it is in a nutshell
Wow cris, long time no talk. Sorry to hear about this whole situation. If it makes you feel any better, I was in the same boat. I was also having some electrical probems with my car, my entire center console as well as my electric locks and what not were not working either. Whatever the problems were it was causing my room fuse to keep blowing as well as my airbag light and seatbelt lights to stay on all the time as well as a cel. No dealership would warrantee the work since I had an aftermarket alarm so I finally traded out of the car about a month ago but not to a mazda this go around. I purchased an 09 GTI. Definately a downgrade as far as looks went but the car truthfully is a blast to drive. Im glad to see you got into a miata. Had the chance to drive that car extensively and its a blast. I hope its good to you. Sorry the dealership was such a dick to you man, I didnt work there long. Im actually a state correction officer now so stay outta trouble lest you have to deal with me on the inside lol. On a sidenote regarding the service manager you mentioned, Don Way...have you ever heard of that rock band My Chemical Romance? His two sons are in the band, the lead singer and I forget what the other one does, mayby the drummer lol. If you youtube the video for "Im not ok" Don has like a 1 second cameo in it and he is wearing a mazda shirt. I always thought that was funny.

I vote we start an RX8 sledgehammer club. Everytime we hear about an outlaw dealer doing bad, and I mean really bad deeds, a mob of rotaries drive by with a sack of hammers for the show room windows and claim it's for "demo purposes".. Once I figure out how to chuck a 8lbs sledge from a moving car 20 ft; I'll start the petition. It would be like a perverse biker gang but with more mechanical knowhow and faster vehicles....and pie.

Granted, there is the issue of how would one protect good dealers from just angry people.

Seriously though, slander these companies through the BBB, considering that is all we can legally do other than sue them. Do you know any civil lawyers?
