Chris, sorry that this really turned out for the worst. I know how your 8 means to you. You know that the NJ and NY folks will back you with your next car. At least our meets will go on

If the paperwork from the selling dealer says the car was new, and Mazda's records say it was not new, it sure seems like someone broke the law. Have you considered calling your state Attorney General's office? Or consulting a lawyer?

im not selling it out as a whole.....i will part it to make my money back.....thanks all for the warm thoughts...i know that if i fixed the car (which im sure i could just by replacing the center) for cheap it wouldnt be an issue.....but what about the next time?.....or the time after that?......it is my daily and i can not afford to have down time for stupid stuff...i already began working on numbers with the dealer just in case before this happened but now it has been serious the last few days...i have gone from denial to frustration, to anger, to sadness......this car brings out lots of emotions but i have to do what is smart for me......even if i take an initial loss
Were you planning on getting rid of your car anyway in 8 months when you thought the warranty would end? If not, is it just that you lost confidence with this one repair or are there other problems?
Damn shame to get rid of that work of art.

Holy crap - it's official. I had my center console shut off on me once. One of my ground slip connects popped in the trunk when my sub box became dislodged. The wires hit the metal of the trunk floor. The center console when out and my subs played just noise. I reconnected the connection when I found it, but the center console didn't come back online until later that day when it felt like it.
Man, I'd ****** up a bunch of your parts, but it looks like a lot of it is spoken for. As it were, I don't currently have a car to trade you stock parts off of.

With conflicting paperwork in your hand, it's definitely worth consulting a lawyer. Wouldn't be surprised if a good lawyer could get your full original purchase price refunded...and maybe compensation for all the work you did on what you thought was a new car.
It would be sweet if someone at the dealership went to jail.

If you live in a county with an active consumer protection agency, include them in the distribution.

I'm so sorry Chris....man, you have some shitty luck, eh? I hope all goes well for you and you find something to hold your passion for cars. Just keep reminding yourself of a new PROJECT that is on the horizon....a time for change is constant, just try to enjoy the flow of life.

Damn, after reading that i was speechless.....
It is def good to hear that Mazda is attempting to correct the problems that they have not cause, that def shows good moral in my book.
If klepto or any of the other NJ guys don't beat me to it i will def be online for some of your parts <------------ That didn't sound right......

Its not so much about going to a new dealer...the dealer that sold him the car SCAMMED CHRIS hard....gave him a nice stiff one w/ spike no lube and battery acid in his *** when they CROOKED (sold) him the car. lies from day one. It isnt even a clerical error just lies and deception when they CRUCHED him on the deal anyway...to try to make sense of a high car note he previously had anyway (basically trying to at least it worth the monthly payment for a better car)
It isnt my car....but Ive helped in the process of putting iit together taking it apart putting it back together...it is deff part of the Misift family and is going to be missed. The parts are going to go like hot cakes. He is probably gonna get what he wants for his trade in. Mazda is helping/hooking him up for the next ride. He is going to be OK I know it stings him in his heart **** it hurts me to see it the way it was too day (GUTTED)....but all in all....it's for the best....better off avoiding a head ache further down the road. PLUS....the ride he has in mind and the design and direction he is going to go w/it -- SICK!!!!!!
STAY TUNED FOR THE NEW & IMPORVED Chrism Design...
