I want to start a thread doing bios on RX-8ers in NJ. Ill start. I'm leasing my car and bought it from Wayne Mazda. Great buying experience and they were willing to work with me (alot) on the price. Car was bought 8/04. GT 6 speed silver. I don't think I'll be doing any mods (namely because it is a lease) other than perhaps, intake, exhaust and DVD hack. I have however changed out the tires and rims for the winter.

I'm 28 and work in Montville NJ (Northern New Jersey). :D

justin. yea i remember meeting you at the englewood meet. this month has been hectic but i will be showing up to some more meets before the season is over.

 

I'm in Bayville, Ocean County. I have a black 8, auto w/touring pkg. I have clear corners and lots of Zaino so far. Looking to add fender strakes and fog light strakes. I'm 49 and I teach in a middle school. My students think my car is the best one in the lot. Bought it Toms River Mercury/Mazda.

 

Bought from Irwin Mazda - great experience with them. Got everything 'cept strakes. Bought 4/04, now ~9000 mi. I'll see you guys/gals on the roads (nice days only for the winter). Monmouth County. Schwartz Mazda was cool too, but whatever you do, don't go to Sansone's Route 1 Mazda <----- D!cks. On second thought, I don't care if anyone chooses to go there, just be careful, or you may slip in the slime that oozes out of their pores.

Manchester Twp, NJ (Ocean County) near Fort Dix. 37 & married with a 20-month-old son, Work in the IT dept for an Adult web site. Bought an early build (5/2003) Lighting Yellow in Feb 2004 from Toms River Mazda on 37 (so so experience). Have about 19,000 on it now no major problems. Been to the track twice and loved it. Major mods will be to the suspension. Just put on front & rear MazdaSpeed strut braces. Racing Beat Sways next month and MazdaSpeed shocks & springs around Feb 2005 Have not seen another Yellow 8 since I bought mine so if you see one in Monmouth or Ocean County with Yellow calipers it’s me!

I'm from Union, NJ but you can usually see me anywhere cuz i have a house in NY too... I work in Totowa, NJ (Verizon Wireless) with my friend Jay that has a titanium silver 8 GT 6spd... I am a little wild behind the wheel (especially on the GSP)... bought my 8 at rt. 1 automall in woodbridge/avenel... no mods yet but achieved 154mph on pulaski skyway and ocean parkway (in suffolk county, ny).

 

why didnt you buy it at flemington mazda? i heard they have a good reputation.

 

just got my lighning yellow 8 yesterday from Open Road Mazda :P

 

154mph in a 45mph zone with heavy traffic. Should we be impressed?

It's one thing to 'test the top end' of a car on an empty highway, but on the Pulaski? You're lucky you didn't kill anyone. Do you have any idea how many accidents happen on that bridge?
