Anyone around Harrisburg, PA

Hey all, new RX-8 owner, just picked it up a few weeks ago. Just curious if theres anyone around the Harrisburg, PA area and what shops people go to around here to have work done. Love this car and have a blast driving it. Also if anyone knows any meets or anything around the area that would be cool to hit up.

Cool cool, yea I read a lot of the beginner stuff on here before I bought the car, just so I knew what I was getting into and so I wouldnt break the car because of something I didnt know. This being my first rotary and all. researched these cars for like 2 months before commiting to buy one now I couldnt be happier with it lol. Used to drive a 99 Firebird Formula so the RX-8 is like driving the space shuttle in comparison lol

Cool, yea I live in Etters just south of harrisburg, but always down for a drive, car is in the shop right now getting some minor stuff done but should be back out by tomorrow. Always free on weekends so I'm always up for a drive and having fun.

I've been going to a car meet in etters lately at the Brothers Pizza, some pretty nice cars out there but havent seen any 8's there. Looking forward to rolling mine out there now that I got rid of my Formula.

Rubedo- I work night shift, so I have off every afternoon. If you have any time off anytime during the week, lmk. Did u go to the Supercars on State Street event in Harrisburg last summer?? If you did, you saw my 8 there. Keep this date open-Sat. May 18th. I'm trying to get a group of 8 owners to meet up at the Carlisle Import and Kit nationals. It's a fun event if you've never been there. Carlisle Import and Kit Nationals - British, French, German, Swedish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Collector, Performance, Parts, Accessories Not a tuner show, that's the weekend before. More laid back type atmosphere, no fights

Ah yea, I work 1130am to 830pm monday thru friday so weekends tend to work best or late night cruises in the summer when its not bitter cold lol. I'll have to check my schedule, I forgot if its march or may but theres a big show in OC I want to hit this spring too. But i'll clear up the 18th to check out the carlisle show

We should do a RX8 meet at a ski resort and then hit the slopes afterward. Get Jesse to take his 8 out of a garage. Use that ski pass through!!

Though my transmission this morning was not a fan of the 10 degrees weather. Like rowing gears through oatmeal.

I'm just waiting to get mine back from the shop, took it in cause the heat wasnt working and they fixed that and decided to replace the hoses and water pump for me at no charge, well they sent the wrong water pump and not expecting the new one til tomorrow. with any luck it'll be back on the road by friday morning.

Talkin about crazy winter s*** I'm headin up tomorrow to skate on the outdoor rink in Hershey that was built for this past sundays AHL game between Hershey and Wilkes Barre/ Scranton. I'll post some pics. Wanted to get on the rink at Citizens Bank Park last year but only made it down for the Bears-Phantoms game.

A monthly meet might be kinda cool, get people from PA to meet up somewhere and hang out, meet up for a beer or at a restaurant or something.

Its just a stock 2004 RX-8, nothin special, silver paint job. Just got it at the begininning of the month so havent had a chance to do much to it. Gotta find a shop close by that can work on rotary motors before I get too heavy into it
