Need a PPI for a vehicle I want to purchase. Not an RX-8 but I figure this would be a good place to ask, because ideally want someone who knows my kinds of preferences: don't give a damn about cosmetics, but sensitive to mechanical issues and rust. Whom do you like who's honest, thorough, and on-point?

 

Been to ELMER's a few times and gave them a 5 star review on Yelp - they seem 2 "know their stuff" - @1848 Monroe Ave. Also went once each to Vesa's and Hollywood, both good experiences.

 

Not sure if you're still looking, or how far a drive you're willing to make, but I think Lakeland Auto Repair (838 State Fair Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13209) is good. I take my 8 there almost exclusively, but I absolutely understand that drive would be pretty brutal if only coming out this way for the shop.

 

Need to discontinued the anti theft alarm. Car is drivable. No fob. Yet alarm go on and off

 

 

The car is drivable without a fob? I was under the impression an RX-8 would be immobilized without the fob.
