about to pull trigger on '10 R3
Hello-
Did lots of research on the car including reading all the key threads here. Yes know there are problems but 2 things: 1) I do not keep cars very long (usually gone by 25-30k) and 2) I cannot find a car that feels like this one- I mean feels in every sense of the word. Maybe the only other car is a Cayman but do not want used so even new base is pricey.
Car will be second car and not a DD.
Guess I am posting this to get confirmation and looking for the stray bullet that says "don't do it".
Thanks- forum has been invaluable.

I understand the OP's question/request for confirmation. But aside from what he already knows of the rotary's needs, there's no "stray bullet" to preclude buying the R3. The RX-8 is a feel like it's strapped-on, highly maneuverable yet remarkably forgiving, great feedback yet comfortable, purpose built yet versatile, just plain fun sportscar/GT.
All the problems from the Series I Rx8's have been fixed on the Series II Rx8's.
Obviously, you have to maintain the car, oil changes etc, as you do with every other car.
I never see people complain about 2009+ Rx8's.
I would buy it if I was you... But I have a feeling you're not going to want to sell the car before the 30,000 mile mark.

OMFG I love my 2010 R3!!!! Best car, hands down, that I've EVER owned. You will become one with it from the moment you drive it away from the dealer ...and that's really all you need to know.
