I may be one of 5 RX8s in and around the city of New York. However, I do manage to see a lot of them both in the city and at my Great Neck dealership. I guess this tread is just for those in NYC. I'm sick and tired of reading through other sighting threads in rural areas! I want to meet 8 owners in my area, the ones too cool to read through verbal excess. So I figure we should start by posting sighting of each other. More than likely this will become a one man thread, kinda like my blog..

Let me start.

July 8 2006 at 11:00pm 32nd Street Manhattan
1. Black RX8 parked on SW corner of 32nd and Broadway.
2. Silver RX8 parked on SW corner of 32nd and 5th Ave - BTW nice rims.

I was parked on the SE corner or 32nd and 5th Ave - White - was partying at R.

Three RX8s all on the same Manhattan block and I have no doubt you were all Koreans partying in K town. We should have meets at Worrijip!

 

I would be down for a NYC meet even though I am moving to the suburbs til i can find a new place...

I did see a blue parked on 31th ave and 31st st in Astoria yesterday.

 

I live on the Upper West Side and I rarely see them. I'm talking about going days or weeks without seeing a single 8. I saw a silver one parked on W. 96th last Thursday. Saw a silver one park on W. 94th (or 95th) on Friday the 30th. And I saw a black one parked on the southbound side of B'way in the 80's a few Saturdays ago. Where are all the 8's!?

 

Im in NYC. From time to time I see these 8s running around. I said hi to most of them but didnt really get a chance to meet up with anybody.

I have a Black Cherry Shinka with Original MS Bodykit.

 

I'm in the city on weekends in midtown usually. ti grey rx8 i'm on 33rd and 8th but park it in a garage

 

yea im from the suburbs but visit my gf almost everyday nd visit the city all the time. my usual spot like every other day is chicken and rice next to the hilton in my nordic green. =)

 

saw a black 8 on the cross island yesterday near the LIE....

 

haha good ole chicken and rice.... I take partial credit for that dudes fame... my muslim friends from Glen Cove and I usta run there freshman year of college (NYIT) just for their gyros back in '99

Now just my luck I work at 54th and 6th, but my 8 never goes near that area, last thing I need is someone to drop some of that white sauce in my car and it stink for ever! God knows my civic til its last day smelt of chicken and rice. Now I goto 48th and 6th no line food is cooked a little longer plus he will do whatever i ask.

Another NYC guy over here.. I live near shocka in LI but I drive in to Manhattan quite a lot although since I've put my 19's on I've been trying to stay the hell outta there!
How about we do a 'pre-pre-meet' to then drive to the 'pre-meet' in NJ to then drive to the 'big meet' at Rotorfest...
I'll be getting on the Triborough Bridge around 9am on July 23rd (depending on what time we meet up with the NJ guys) If anyone wants to hit up some breakfast or hook up aound then let me know.

Spotted a VR RX8 - waved and head knocked at each other on Union TPKE and Lakeville in Queens.

I'm almost sure I had the first 8 in Manhattan- I often have mine parked In the East Village on 1st or second Ave or Ave. A at night while hanging out down there.

I would LOVE to have a City RX8 meet! You guys can see the 3M rockguard covering my front and rear bumpers that has kept the car looking amazing despite being a city car.

whats up jason. I put my sticker on last weekend. I ended up putting it on the back window.

 

It's been pretty quiet in Manhattan.... Haven't seen one for 8 days in the city!

Oh and Will - where on the back window did you stick the tag? I have a white whip too but was thinking about putting on two tags (for more horse power). One in each flip out window? Too extreme? I've always been keen on club stickers.
