Woodward Dream Cruise

Anyone gonna spend some time this week on Woodward?

Wanted to see if there is any interest in getting a few 8's together some evening and cruise up and down. I'm planning on being there tonight, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I'm probably spend Friday and Saturday just camped out at Maple and Woodward on my lawn chair watching all the neat rides!

Ah you beat me to a post about the DC. I noticed last year, Mazda had an area set up just south of the B&N on Woodward/14.5 mile. Is it a corporate only thing, or can we park there?

I was out on Woodward yesterday between 6:30-8:00pm. WOW - there sure were ALOT of cars already cruisin! I don't remember any other year where this many were out so early. The lot on the corner of 13 mile was packed with cars and there had to be 100 or so people sitting out watching. Oakland Counties finest were also out in force....I saw a few people getting pulled over. I decided to leave around 8pm as the traffic was stopped in both directions between about 12 1/2 and 14 mile! If you haven't gone out to this event in the past, I strongly recommend it! It is unlike anything you have ever seen. The cars are unbelievable!

Anyways, I'm not sure about the Mazda area.....it looked like companies were just in the process of setting stuff up. I'll have to take a closer look tonight or tomorrow.

Again, if anyone is going to go out there, let me know as I would be interested in hooking up.

Hmm, dunno why I saw not one RX-8 all day saturday at the dream cruise. Well scratch that, saw a grey one parked on 15 in downtown Birmingham. Even the Mazda display gave way to Saleen. Oh well...did see an Enzo Ferrari though, that was very nice...

Yea....actually I was out there on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I cruised a couple times from Maple down to 12 mile and back before sitting on my lawn chair at the corner of Maple and Woodward. I did not see one '8' the entire time?!?!?! I did see 3 RX-7's on Wednesday.

I was only a block or two away from the Saleen display (just on the north side of Fred Lavery).....walked over and looked at the new Saleen's.....I'm not very impressed with them. Was impressed, though, with all the Porsches at Fred LAvery's!

Oh well, maybe some of us local's can hook-up sometime.

Yes, that Porsche Carrera GT was mighty nice...I'm more about the Lambo's and the Ferrari's than those old musclecars, so the cruise this year was pretty cool. On old Woodward there was an exotic car parking lot (Motorwerks). Diablo's, Mercielago's and F430's galore.
