Looking for a top notch place to tint my new baby in the KC area. The sale people from the Acura Dealer recommended "Auto Trim Design" in raytown. Any suggestion?[B]

 

Congrats on you "new baby"! Great to know another RX-8 owner in the K.C. area... SHOWOFF (a member of this forum) and his car club meet every Thursday. I try to attend once in a while but it's alot of fun.... You can also ask him about tinting your windows bec. i think he's got a hook up with that!

 

Where do they meet? What time?

Also, how do you post pics or have a pic of your car with your profile?

 

Tint shop...ahhh! I am brain dead right now...the place is up North. They've done both of our cars. Thumbs up.
Where we meet...Thursdays at 7:30ish at Starbucks off 119th (and Metcalf-ish). When it gets warm (which will probably be a looooong time, then we will move back to Sheridan's.
Yeah, you should stop by.
Also, if you are bored tomorrow (Saturday) there is a charity car show for a school that we will all be at. Entry fee is canned food. All cars welcome (old school, imports, domestics...). It is is the Shawnee area. If you are interested the info is www.Groupone.org under the events section.

Call 838-8468 Ask for Erik and be sure to tell him that Chris Parish told you to call him. He does all of the tint for my dealership so I know he'll hook you up! They are located on N. Oak tfwy. in Gladstone.

 

Thanks dude. I will call them next week. Have you had any problems in our area having less then 35% on the windows?

 

Nope No problems at all. Been lucky I guess according to most people, but I have never had anyone pull me over for tint.

 

And actually I have been pulled over in the Eclipse for illegal white rear lights. I played dumb and then asked him if anything else on the car is illegal - he said no. Both of the cars are 5%.

 

Any of you guys ever go to KCIR? I'd love to get a few people up there when the new season starts(march or so) and get a first hand view of the RX8 in action. Maybe get a few friendly runs in with one. Waddaya say fellas? Beautiful cars BTW. Trying to get the girlfriend to get one.

Anyone know of a tint dealer in town which would install Huper Optik film.

 

??? never heard of it, but if you want to know for sure call (816)838-TINT talk to Eric Martin (owner) and he'll hook you up. Tell him that Chris from Imprimis told you to call him.

 

I found the place in KC that installs Huper Optik window tint. Huper-Optiks referred me to Alta Mere (www.altamere.com) in Lee's Summit or Olathe. www.huperoptikusa.com
