Just wondering.. why was that meet on the 16th the "last" meet of the year? are you all going to get yer 8's hibernating already? i mean, i don't drive my 8 in the winter, but i didn't plan to garage her until around Thanksgiving... so, would it be ok to assume that everyone can still get together? :D .. just a thought.

 

That was the RX7 club's last meet of the year... there's no reason we can't have another get together. I run my 8 all year long- no hibernating for me... if you have a suggestion for a date let us know...

I'd be interested in getting together. As I said in the other thread, I was just too hungover to do it this time. I won't be fully garaging the car, but I will not be putting snow tires on it either. So it'll be in half hibernation.

So if anyone wants to set-up another date and place, I'd be more than willing to stay sober the night before.

 

How bout one of these dates? Hopefully will beat the snow. I am in Brookfield. Have Car will travel! Let me know.

Only reason I said that is some may be putting their's away (like me) :D.

I didn't want to have them too close together, and the middle of November is too cold for me. This was the last "official" meeting. That's not to say that there can't be another low key one. In fact, us 7ers are getting a little thing together for next weekend.

Too cold=hard tires=less traction=no really good cruising. I've got a lot of things that I'd like to do this winter and the sooner I start, the better chance I have of ensuring that it's ready when it needs to be.

I do have black sport package 8, but I do have IL plates, still my FL license, though. If anybody see's a black 8 driving around in the Near North section of Chicago - State, Michigan, North Ave, Rush, etc...it's probably me.

Yeah- I do Chicago to West Palm and back twice a year in an Explorer loaded with a wife, 2 kids and a dog... 17 hours is the best so far :D

 

Couldn't make it this Friday night, Halloween party to go to...and Saturday night I have a business meeting to attend - what fun.

 

Then there's Sunday SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!
