How about a get-together for Sat or Sun, July 10th or 11th? I could probably get Fusz to open their service dept on Sat, and hand out some door prizes. Do that from like 9am - 1pm, then go on a drive to the wineries.

If about 6-8 people say they're in, I'll take it from there. And let's decide on a day.

Oh, forgot to add, there might be a way for us to pull our cars out into the vinyards at one of the wineries to take some pics. Mount Pleasant might let us do it if we ask them.

Pull them into the vineyards? I was thinking of stopping at Busch Wildlife for a group photo shoot ... it would take forever to organize getting everyone pulled into a vineyard don't you think? I can just see that being a nightmare.

Keep shooting ideas, I'll get started on setting it up!

Well they have an area where the vineyards start right at the entrance to the area where the winery and the brewery and small shops are. I wasnt thinking of pulling like in between the grape vines and everything, just off the road a few feet maybe. Just an idea. Or on the way down there, there is a biker bar, maybe we could all park like jackasses and take up all their parking spaces.

Looks like i might miss this, i have a floot trip scheduled for that weekend. I might see if we can leave late saterday but i dont think its going to work. I would love to get in the picture with the rest of you. Maybe you can photoshop me in? Hu, sound like a idea?

I'm gonna have to miss this as well. I'm going to San Diego for the week and don't return til Saturday evening. I just got my 8 last week though, so I'd love to attend any future stl events when possible.

I was up at Bommarito in Ellisville today getting the AC part replaced and was talking to the guy I bought from that we were getting a group together to go the winerys and he said if there is a good turnout, maybe they would do something for us in the future. So everybody that can attend should so we can get more things to start happening in STL.

Well, we used to have 5 or 6 decent sized get-togethers every year ... but now everybody has turned pretty lame. Considering the response thus far here and on rx7club, I'm wondering if I should even persue this. I figured knowing that the event would be pictured in the magazine would help get more people out, but doesn't look like that's the case.

Well, I would really like to know by friday if we are going to do this so I can either request off of work or not to do this. I really want to go and make this happen.

Well, my butt has to work on Saturdays, but if we did this on Sunday, I would be there no problem. Of course, then no Fusz. I'm very interested in participating in events in STL.

I'm still up to it on Sat 7/10/04. Sun 7/11/04, the local corvette club is having an open non-scca autox at GM Wentsville that I'm plannning to go to.

uh, dont drive your car to the GM plant in wentzville. They frown on foreign cars especially quasi-competition for the corvette. Plus you wont get to race I dont think. I was a member of the club for a while when I had my vette and it was basically only open to members of the club to race. Anybody could go watch, but you had to be a member to race. And to my post last night about just let me know. Screw that, we need to get together and make this happen. I am going to get off of work for that saturday and I will help out and make any araingments that I can. If a good turnout for this means future events at other dealers and more free stuff, then why would everybody not be jumping at the chance to do this. For me its either have a shitty day at work and make 125 bucks or go out and have fun all day and spend some money. I would rather go have fun.
