I have a Sante Fe as a daily driver too (and an Explorer)!

 

well its not my daily driver i work up at Auffenberg Hyundai, and i was coming back from a dealer trade and saw him.

Saw a silver 8 with a nice looking female driver this morning, and this afternoon i followed a blue 8 on east o'fallon and circle. it was a fun time, east ofallon is a fun road to drive but its to bumpy!!!

 

Crazy, I've seen atleast 10 different 8s this week alone in the south county area. Every month that goes by I keep seeing more and more of them.

 

Thursday afternoon at about 4pm, drove along with a black 8 on 270 north between Olive and 70.

 

i have seen baseballgenius car up at the dealership the last couple of days.

 

Ouch...thats just wrong...

On my way to work this morning around 8:30 am, heading south on Lindbergh between 70 and Olive, followed behind a white 8 and a black 8. The white 8 turned off around Paige and the black 8 turned into Lou Fusz Mazda.

 

Spotted a yellow and black someone ducking out of work 3 minutes early on my way in... what's up with that, BBG? :P

 

Our clocks are set three minutes fast over here....yeah, that's the ticket.

 

Spotted two 8's at lunch today around 11:30.

Yellow 8 sitting at the light of Cross Creek Rd and Olive, just west of 270.
Burnt copper shinka (I think) with off centered gray stripes sitting at one of the lights on Olive just east of 270.

 

Sept 4th, 4:30pm - East bound on 64 by the Caseyville exit in IL, passed an automatic white 8. Looked like a cute blonde driving....on her cell phone of course.

Sept 5th, 8:00am - West bound on 70 crossing the MLK Bridge, spotted a blue 8, made eye contact with the guy. Not sure if he saw me or my awesome paint job. lol

 

Met a blue RX8 traveling Westbound on I 70 out west of Wentzville today around 1pm. I have seen this car out in the area before so my guess is the owner either lives out West or has reason to make that trip from time to time.

There is also a black RX8 I see coming out of the Coke plant in Warrenton from time to time and a dark green and ti gray RX8 that both seem to frequent the Warrenton area.

 

This is close....passed a black convertible RX7, 2nd gen I believe, heading west on 70 approaching 170.

 

I was out in O'fallon around 4-5pm, and saw a handful of 8s... first one was a grey one on Mexico that I drove alongside for a bit through traffic; "Octus", even though you didn't wave, HI!!!. A little further down Mexico close to Salt Lick (I think), saw a blue one in the car wash bay. I had my car washed at Mexico & K... saw a red 8 who I think is a co-worker of mine. After the car wash turning back onto Mexico, I saw my doppelganger! =D

 

Spotted a yellow 8...no stripe, lol....about 12:20 today heading east on Olive between 270 and Lindbergh.

 

Saw a nice looking whitewater pearl with appearance pack headed south on 94 this morning. I was at the pyramid in my Syclone after a bike ride at Lost Valley and waved an acknowledgement .

What a great road to drive in an 8. Last weekend there were about 15 Honda S2000.s at Klondike. Made me think we should do a similar run this fall as a group of RX8's would cut a cool profile winding through wine country. Anyone interested in that kind of thing?

 

Absolutely would love it.

 

Not much for wine drinking, but I'd go as an excuse to show off the 8.

 

I am not an alcohol drinker at all, but those roads in the fall are a great place to spend time behind the wheel (or bars). I have a number of things going on in October, but would definitely try to find a way to join that parade. Fall colors should be at peak the last two weeks in October so maybe then? That would allow for a little planning time too.

Perhaps we should move this to the St.Louis thread? I am an old-timer to the area, but have been lving down in NM the past two years and don't know anyone in the RX8 scene locally. Perhaps one of you guys that know everyone would want to kick that thread off to see who is interested?

I see a red one that i always wave to and he i believe waves back at me!!!

 

Just north of Paige on Lindbergh, spotted a blue 8 heading north around 8:20am this morning.

 

I see 8's all the time. If i posted every time I saw one I thing i would meet the maximum post allowed. I live the Central West End.

There was a black 8 just like mine parked in front of Coffee Cartel the other day.

 

Black 8 on 170 north at forest park where I got off on monday the 22nd.

Blueish green 8 parked in front of PF Changs on monday the 22nd.

Black 8 on kingshighway at lindell the other day.
