Come on guys! Its a new month and Midnight Madness at Gateway Raceway right outside st louis is next Friday. Let try and get some rx8s out there, could be a fun place to meet some fellow owners. Its a lot better than sitting on your couch on a Friday night, and who wouldnt wanna go to so LEGAL street racing, drifting, and see some gorgeous import models! Link to the official site below:

I would love to drift my 8 this time around, but like I said most of the higher ups I was in tight with are no longer apart of drift stl. They have their own thing going on, which is Drift Angle Motorsports (woot). So if I went I would just be chilling and watching this time around. However I do see this as a good chance for me and the soon to be Mrs. to meet some follow 8 owners. That and I want to show off my new hood. I will see what we can do and will get back to you guys.

 

watching is always fun, not near as fun as driving but its still a good time. i wish i knew how to drift! the girlfriend will be joining me as well so we will see how that goes but she loves cars. and im right there with you sparks i wanna see some opinions on my new wheel set up, but come on guys theres gotta be more than 3 rx8s out there

 

Theres a yellow one I always see and mess around with on the road I'll make him go so thats 4, I know hes in the club cuzz he has the decal in his window lol

 

if its yellow with a black stripe down the middle its baseballgenious (phil) and yes hes a member. if not then get him out there the more 8s the better

 

No its not he lives in north county, black mazdaspeed wing, black decals, mostly stock on the outside, has the yellow rx8club decal

 

after talkin we will probably be there its just later cause I don't get off work until 9 and then I have to pick her up. so I might not be there until 10

Yeah I know all about the dreaded lines b/c this was about the time I arrived to drift. its no biggie though. I was just making sure I didn't show up and everyone was like bye once I got there lol.

So I met another Rx8 owner tonight at work. He has a black 04 8. I told him to show up at madness. He said he probably will. He just got his today. Tomorrow I am getting new tires put on then I am giving her a bath followed by an oil change thankfully I am off tomorrow lol.

 

are 8's really that rare in mn? i just got my own wwp from an auction and hope 2 have it up in running in a lil bit and get it out on the streets with a nice kit maybe. was thinking of going to check out a few places where people with 8's gather up. there any modified 8's in mn?

 

not sure if you realize this thread is for st louis, MISSOURI? if the mn is a typo and you meant mo, then the 8 is not a fairly common car, expecially when modified. good luck with the rx8 needless.

sparks good luck with the new tires, just got mine on about 2 weeks ago, and i love them, the car handles so much better than on the stockers.

As i told ryan, i plan to head up there about 7 or 7:30 not sure if you guys wanted to meet somewhere before hand i may be able to but i will have quite a few other cars/friends with me. Also Sparks you had said you were going a little later. If you are coming from from highway East on highway 64 get off a couple of exits before you reach 55. There will be an old run down club called club Rio take a right there and stay on that road. Then you will come up to a gas station take a left immediatelly after and you will pass about 80% of the traffic that will be at a dead stop on the highway. if you want more exact dirrections shoot me a PM and i can tell you. just thought this would help for anyone leaving a little late

hey, im the new 8 owner lol what happened to the meet up at gateway i think i only saw sparks 8 up there

 

not sure things just kinda fell through i know we were all up there we just didnt see each other. were trying to set up another time and place to meet look for the stl meet thread

 

itd be nice to meet up at a parking lot just before going in you know you wanna park all those pretty 8's in one big line
