i live in springfield missouri and i don't see alot of rx-8s. with that said i don't know that there are any clubs here for the rx-8 either. Looking for others with these bad *** mazdas to chill with and maybe get some knowledge about this rotary engine.

Your best bet is either the KC or STL RX8 guys I would guess. I occasionally get down to springfield for a buddy that goes to SMS. I might be there in a couple weeks in fact. If I go I'll pm you.

I've been thinking about making a trip down to Springfield, MO. I am a huge Cardinals fan and have been wanting to check out the AA team in Springfield since it isn't too far away. If I happen to make plans to head out there, I will do the same as fisher and pm you also.

I was in Springfield today picking up a dirt bike for my son. As I was leaving I drove up 65 towards E 44 on my way back to Warrenton/St.Louis area and passed the Springfield Subaru/Mazda dealership. As I passed I noted about four RX8's all sitting with their 4 doors opened-up as a draw to passerby's. Didn't see any RX8's driving around town down there today though. I was in my Sequoia so I sure wan't a contributor. I have to believe that there are a few RX8's running around down there though, especially with the growth going on down there...

Road trip!

I bet there are some nice tight curvy back roads from STL to Springfield. Nothing is more fun than a back road caravan.

I suppose there might be some if you get well off 44. Otherwise its just a straight shot down 44 battling semi trucks all the while.

Not so many 8's in Joplin/Neosho either. I do make some trips to Springfield, including the Cardinal's game. Post/pm me if you folks are interested in a get together.

Checking in I am starting to see a good hand full of 8's running around. One I always notice is yellow with black rims and lives off of 13 and WW I think its WW.
Any way me Sunlight silver 04 custom rear bumper, front plate mounting bracket and flow master exhaust havent heard any 8's with exhaust around yet. Hope to see some tonight and Saturday for the big car show cruz on Glenstone, I will keep an eye out RX8 club rep

Trying bring it back to life. Right now including you we have two 8's and a turbo genny. I am starting to see a lot more 8's around even saw one at last weeks big cruse. I guess I need to a RX8 club sticker on my car to get us hooked up. I might head to Branson this week. They are having the big Z fest, lots of cool Z's to check out plus its fun to crash the party

I occasionally make a jaunt to Waynesville to visit family; maybe sometime if scheduling is right, I could make it out? (maybe a bit of a stretch)

Hey guys, how is the springfield dealership. Reliable imports / mazda ?
Has anyone had any experience with them.
I may bring my car to get a compression check to see if I'm elgible for a new engine sometime this summer. Mine seems to just be getting less and less snappy.

bought my my 8 from Reliable and my wifes 2010 Forster XT. I have used the Mazda service dept many times and have been treated very well. When you call ask to speak with Jason he is one of two service managers and the best one to deal with. One bad thing they had to buy the new comp tester which jumped the price from 100 to 175 so a little more pricey

I just saw this on here cause I'm rarely on the board, but that is going to change! You guys need to check out 417rotary.com. We are trying to spread the word to ALL rotary owners to get involved. We have only been around for a few months and already we are happy with how the club is progressing, we just need some more rotary 8's representing. Also there is a scenic drive coming up next month on the 13th and I'll have a separate thread later on tonight since I'm away from my computer and currently typing this on my phone.
