Has anyone used Metro Mazda in Ferndale for Service????

Need to take mine in for the first 7500 check up and it is in my back yard but have no idea about their service dept....

Or, has anyone had experence with Suburban Mazda???

Just want to make sure I take it somewhere they wont screw it up....

Dealerships

I used to take mine to the one off of Vandyke and 18 mile. Now they are closed and am not sure when they will re-open if at all. They stiffed me with a $60 rental fee.

Sesi in Ypsilanti was great! They did wat they were supposed to do in a reasonable time (with a free rental of course!)

Closed down???

Did you just say Sterling Mazda (Van Dyke and 18 Mile) is closed down???

I had heard that there were some legal proceedings and bankruptcy issues with the parent owners (Jerome Duncan), but they had always claimed that it would not affect any of their dealerships.

That would really suck, they just re-modeled that dealership to the new Mazda "theme", and I had always gotten good service there. There's no way I'm going to take my car to Suburban.

Any other options?

I took mine down to Metro for a couple of the recalls last fall. Very small shop in an old building. You need to be real careful not to get into a wreck turning off Woodward into the garage (there garage door might be 5 feet off Woodward?). There is parking on the south side of the building. Work was done on time and they arranged for a rental for the day for me (Hertz, I think). I've talked MazdaSpeed with the service manager a few times, but haven't made the plunge yet. Nothing bad to say about the shop or the work.

I would avoid Suburban like the plague. I have only heard bad things about them, both on the forums and from family members who have gone there. They are about 2 miles from my house, but I still go to Metro to avoid Suburban!
