I'm waiting on the bank to finish the paperwork and i'll have a 2004 rx8 GT. Looking for other enthusist in the marion, carbondale and frankfort, IL area. Want to find a local owners club or what have you.

Welcome to the site from a northerner.

People pop up intermittently from down there. Your more likely to find others in St Louis. It's about an hours drive for you, but just think of it this way, it will be in the RX8.

I just looked it up. I guess it's about 2 hrs away.

No clubs that I know of yet in our region but cars are popping up everywhere in Paducah.

St Louis has a good amount of people with a rather large radius. There is a regional sticky thread or join the Facebook group called stlrxclub. Make sure it is the one with a bunch of posts and members.

As of 2/6/13 I'm the proud owner of a 2004 Rx8 gt. Just put new plugs in and changed the oil.

Enjoy, read through the new members forum to get your feet wet. Did you have a compression test done? Good numbers?

unfortunately no, i don't know of anywhere around here that has the proper compression tester. However i do know it starts up hot like a champ and had a reman engine dealer installed 30k miles ago
