Nebraska Iowa Gathering
Hello fellow Mazda enthusiasts.
I'm an owner of a Mazda 6, and there is a group of us over at Mazda6Club.com trying to get a spring meet together. We'd like to bring any other Mazda enthusiasts to come along, hence the post here.
The current topic we are discussing our ideas in is located here .
Feel free to stop by, post comments, whatever.
Thanks!

I could be up for that...depending the date and the activities. Someone on the Mazda6 board is worried about "outsiders" acting like "asshats". I'm not sure what he's implying...

Hehe, I think by "asshats" they meant not to invite people that like to raise hell...
Lol, definately not personal. Also, there is really no such thing as an "Outsider" since this is only the 2nd meet, with the first one being attended by only 5 (I think) 6 owners, the rest varied.
Just to update, the date was set to May 13th (saturday) but the location is still not decided.
We were thinking a friendly BBQ / Chat then maybe a cruise. It would be nice to have some RX-8 owners there as well though.

Let's see, our last meet was 5 6 owners (what was it, like 2 silver and 3 steel grey. All v6 and the sport edition. Not much variation).
There was also the kick *** Miata and the, what was it, the MX-6 or whatever the poor car was with the unpainted bumper, and that kick *** yellow protege. So there were three other Mazdas. There was a post here, but it looks like some of the pics are no longer up on photobucket.
RXHusker, so the 3 crowd has a tendancy to do some asshatting around? I think we were just trying state that we wanted to get together, have a good time, make some friends, talk about our cars, and not any stupid stuff.
And like RoX mentioned, May 13th, location undecided yet, but I think we may be leaning towards Zorinsky. That was were we met up last time, but again, this is only the 2nd gathering, so it's not like we have a dedicated spot.

Keep us updated
My son has a baseball tourney that weekend but I will try to make it if possible. I live by Lake Zorinski so that location gets my vote
The Mazda3 crowd was OK -- just a little too street racer wannabe/out on parole/the 3 is like a Ferrari

Well guys, thanks to the three of you that made it out. Was kind of a poor turn out, had a couple emergencies pop up on the 6 side, so attendance was down. Overall we had 3 6's and 3 8's, so I think we'll average it out and call in the Midwest 7 meet.
I, ofcourse, was the one that forgot my camera at home, so hopefully some good shots will get posted up. Some great looking cars showed up, can't beat the lines on those 8's!

Sorry about leaving so early but I knew today would be hectic (drove to visit a favorite aunt in Superior Nebraska). That's another 270 miles today, but we took the wife's Forester.
I enjoyed seeing a few other Mazda nuts and think someone ought to recruit the new Shinka owner from another thread.
