I'm still talking to Erin about it. It's our Aniversary so I need to cater to what she wants.

Maybe...I'm not 100% whether I'll have my car back by then or not...will make it kind of difficult to get up there unless RSD or Mac are heading that way...I'd like to go, though.

I asked for my PCM to be returned right around or before that time...as such I don't think I'll know until the last second.

Lets cross our fingers

Blue, you need to book your room I had a hell of a time getting a room. We decided just to get one ourselves being that it's our aniversary.

I'd come watch, but I'm busy Saturday and have autocross Sunday.

Hey devildog, I'm going to the Madison Club autox at Fond Du Lac next Sunday if you want to join me.

OK great, we'll be there early Friday afternoon, I won't be driving until Sunday. Saturday we are doing some other things in celebration of 1 year of putting up with each other We may stop by at some point during the day on Saturday depending on what is going on.

On a side note, I have a possible stupid question. I noticed know that my steering wheel is no longer centered Meaning, that for the car to track straight the wheel is turned a little to the left? If I try to center it the car turns right? Do I need to get an alignment?

Yes sir - most likely. Its possible a belt slipped in one of your tires or that they have worn unevenly. The uneven wear is HIGHLY unlikely since we just looked at them the other week and they were fine. Belt slipping or breaking is possible but you would probably be noticing a lot of vibration whenever you get over say 50mph(which we know you do...constantly). My guess is you got into a pothole that fubared something. talk to me about it at the track if you can find me.

Ok, Thanks. One other question, I switched back to street pads after autobahn and now my brakes squeal. Not while braking but while wheels are turning with no brake pressure. Do you think the XP8's deposited some material that the stock pads can't scrape off thus causing the squealing. Do you think I can try some aggressive stops to see if that alleviates the issue?

You really should have either 1 manuf. of pads, or different rotors. Otherwise the different pads materials will cause issues. I know, I have had that happen to me several times

Either that or the track pads are worn further down that the street pads and the piston did not get pushed quite far enough back into the caliper causing the daily pads to rub on the rotors more than usual.

Yea, I'm thinking next step is to get dedicated front rotors for the track.

make sure you don't get woodworking sandpaper. And something like 100-150grit should be sufficient.
