Yeah I went up there... My mother goes way back with the owner prior to him even opening shop. We spoke with him and he's going to replace the one rim. I hadn't gotten to look at the others until this am but so far they look okay. I'm going to give them another once over when I get the car back of course but I'd be okay with him just fixing the one that his people messed up. He's ordering a TPMS as well that he'll be replacing sometime today or in the next couple of days. I am looking and getting Enkei RP03 Rims in a couple of months (maybe in time for summer of next year but we'll see). I'm supposed to be getting the car back today so turns out I might just be able to make it out there. How bout this weather eh? I officially am sick of the Ohio Valley. I did show him the pictures and he agreed that this shouldn't have happened. Apparently during the alignment, a boot got stuck on there and they moved it without removing it first (deedeedee) so it destroyed the new tire and took a chunk out of my rim. I said for the trouble he should discount me on the tires so we'll see. I've cooled off since last night because I was planning on finding more damage to the other wheels when I went up there this am. All this and I haven't even made the second payment on the car lol.

That sux man, turns out mine still has a little manufacturer warranty on it so the dealership is ordering me some sychronizers for my shifting problem and went ahead and flashed my computer for me.

Yeah I'll be there... Off to bed for now... I gotta wake up an hour early so I can wash the car... Do you know where in the park we're supposed to meet? I've never been there before... If you could send me a pin on google maps that'd be awesome. Thanks

Yeah, there were a total of maybe 20 cars?
2-3 mitas, 3 rx-8's, and the rest were diff gens rx-7, no fd's tho.
one speed 3 and one speed 6

Unless theres a huge different, I'm not one to notice a suspension mod lol (not that mechanically inclined yet). I'll make a post tonight of a DIY for clear corners installation / front bumper removal with pictures (even though they come with instructions) lol.

Hey, I'm in Louisville near Hillview! I have a silver 2004. I got it in May down in E-town. Anyway, next time you get something together post it again. I was banned on 502ss about 5 years ago because I politely sent an email to a guy telling him not to say I'm "bad in bed" since I never met him. Never figured that out and don't really care since most of that board is a bunch of punks.

Back to topic, I see a white RX-8 almost every afternoon when I'm coming home from work. It's usually going south on the Snyder and I typically pass it around the Fairdale exit while I'm going North. There is a yellow one around Hillview as well. Wondering if these guys/gals are on here.

Lol ya everyone on 502ss are diks. especially if you dont drive a honda. But when are you all meetin up? I live on new cut rd off the outer loop theres a black 8 that lives a street over from me and another black 8 on new cut rd but i dont know if their on here or not.. My 8 should be done within the next few weeks then ima start tryin to have some 8 meets around town.

well my synchronizers havnt come in yet and the other morning my heater quit so i check the coolant and sure enough its down... ended up taking 16 ounces of coolant So now im keeping a close eye on it and hoping i dont have a leak, and im really hoping if i do that it isnt an engine seal. The dealership i bought it from wasnt a mazda dealership and knew nothin about the model, lol the salesman asked me if i knew whether it was a 4 or 6 cylinder, so im hoping they changed the coolant out while they had it and just didnt fill it enough.

well they ended up replacing almost the entire transmission by the time they opened it up and saw it needed more than synchos, lol woulda been easier for them to order the whole unit im sure. No coolant leak so that is good but my heater doesnt work so now ima have to send it back in, I am beyond pissed at Don Jacobs Honda in Lexington don't ever go there, they could care less about speaking to me now that they made their sale and they sold me the car saying it everything worked, I can only imagine and shudder when i think about how much this will cost if its the hcu a known problem of the RX8 considering that entails tearing the whole dash out to replace. Love the way the car drives but after reading so much stuff about them constantly breaking this will be the last Mazda I ever buy, hopefully the damn thing lasts until i can get it paid off.

lol. im sorry to hear that. my hcu is messing up as well. just try to play with it. either push and turn, or gently turn. should help.
