Kansas City Roll Call / Cruise.

Im from a little bit outside KC.. Seeming how nothing goes on outside of multi-car meets and such, I think we should start a new one.. So getting a list of rotary owners from the KC area that would be interested in going on a drive, have dinner, and just chill. It would be nice to get to know some other rotary owners in the area.. share knowledge and stuff.. So post below what you drive.. if your down to do something.. and any idea's you have for the meet. Would probably aim to do it sometime soon, may/june.

Thanks,

Jake.

I'm just north of KC and have an 04 RX-8, if we could round up at least 3 other rx-8's I'd be willing to drive to KC for a cruise/meet.

Just saw the post about the 417 lake cruise, i'll be going for sure. I still want to do something a little more local, so if anyone has any idea's about what to do, go ahead and post them.

Back to 417 Lake cruise.. it looks like last year they had like 6 or 7 cars, with the amount it seems are interested this year it could be a GREAT time. Head over there and look it up if you havent.

I live in Olathe. I'm up for a ride/meet. I'm not familiar with the 417 lake cruise. Someone care to fill me in or give me a link?

OK, found the thread. Are we really up to going to Eureka to start this? But then I really like to drive my 8, perhaps distance is a great thing!

Dang from where I am to Lake of the Ozarks is 4 hours! I just can't justify driving that far in my most prized possession. The risk of rock chips, road debris and mileage is just too high! But since no one has posted a link here ya go

KS Leavenworth area

Hi!
I live in Lansing, drive a 2010 R3 in Aurora Blue. Keep seeing lots of older RX-8s at Fort Leavenworth -- seems to be a car of choice for both officers and junior enlisted. Interested in getting together for a spring ride?
Pete

Hi everyone. I bought a 04 GT recently. Old fart stay at home type in the Northward but do love to drive around locally. Been down awhile. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good rotary mechanic shop in KC area should I need one?

Hi!
Although it has gotten some bad reviews on the internet, I have been taking my 2010 R3 to Tumminia Mazda in Olathe for all services. Don, one of the service managers, has always kept me happy with good service, and a well-informed set of opinions about the RX-8.

Hello. Just watching all this stoopid effing snow again, dreaming of warmer weather and perusing the latest club posts. (Man I miss Louisiana!) Noticed a lack of activity in this area. I have a yellow 04 GT. Been covered the last couple of months due to misfires & health issues. Feeling better and first warm weekend I'm installing BHR pipe. Hoping I just have bad cat and not dying engine. Anyway if I can get it running good again I just might want to road trip. Never did anything like that before. Keepin my fingers crossed.

Big Cajun,
Since you are new to the area -- when this snow clears away, try the tail of the newt (Missouri State highway N south west of I29 and I435) and Leavenworth couny road 5 - the best roads in the area.

I'm def going to this car show! I stumbled upon the last Fast Friday last season and it was a blast. There was a variety of cars, alot of imports, exotics and muscle cars. I was the only 8 there, but ran into a few RX7 owners, M6 and Miata owners too.
The first show this year is 4-19, if you have facebook search for KC Trends, if not Google it to see some of the past show pics.
Would be a great place for a long overdue RX8 Club meet!
