Guesstimates on repair

Anyone in St. Louis had any paint repair done on their 8?

I will more than likely be taking it to Lou Fusz's body shop.

Take a look at my story and pics here.

Damn, I just posted in that thread how much I hate mean people. I feel for you dude. I had a problem with my trunk rubbing against my tail light. The paint on about 1/2 inch of the bottom lip of the trunk was were off. I took it to Bommarito in St. Peters and they sent it out to an outside shop and they did a good job. You might want to give Bommarito a call and see who they use.

There is a guy in O'Fallon that I use and refer people to who does very good work. He found some old body damage on a friends care and fixed it as part of the other repair. It is the Maze Autobody in O'Fallon. I can get the address if you want it. Does that scratch go all the way through the clear coat?

Well the guy at Maze in O'Fallon does really good work and he usually details all the cars before they go out for free and keeps them all parked inside at night. It is on Mid Point Drive I think. I am not in STL right now so I dont know for sure. Lou Fuzs has always treated me right so I would not worry about them if you take it there. The car is new enough they should just be able to pull the door off and repaint just that. I would not want a blend job done on a brand new car, it just doesnt need it.

Yea, I posted in the other thread also that I took it in this morning. The estimate was for $760. They said it should be done by Wednesday.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my 8 back today and she looks great! I am very happy with the work that the Lou Fusz body shop did. Excellent work. They also painted my spoiler because it did not match the rest of the car.

Also, the total came to $756, which is within a couple of dollars of the original estimate.
