RSD suggested we meet at the Dominicks (Canal & Roosevelt) then go to the Planetarium for pictures. We need to make sure Racewar (our "Official Photographer") comes along.

I passed a Viper and Porsche GT3 today on the track

I don't have an in car video. There was an RSX-S in my run group with video though and an EVO VIII MR with a side mount cam.

 

So, yet again I had tons of people coming up and checking out my car and saying it was the first one they had seen on a track before.

It seems that Al, Blue, Adam and I are the only guys in the midwest that have even taken their RX-8s to the track...

 

Haven't, but definitely looking forward to exploring the option...

 

This CGI motorsports school would be a good group outing. They had 3 run groups, advanced, intermediate, novice. The novices had instructors. I think they were optional for everybody else but I didn't take one (I was in intermediate). There are 2 mandatory classroom sessions for the novices as well.

The school was well run. Most drivers were safe. They only had 2 cornerworkers though, but they were on top of everything as much as they could be.

It's safer than an open lapping day and you get tons of track time (7, 20 minute sessions) for $175. That's not too bad.

I prefer schools because I can get insurance coverage. With open lap days, you never know who will show up and I don't want to be on the track with a bunch of lunatics.

 

"Rock n Roll" Mc Donald's Meet

Location: DOWNTOWN Chicago. Corner of Ontario and Ohio st's.
(Rock n Roll McDonalds Parking Lot)

When: Wendsday October 19th

Time: Meet at Mc Donalds at 7:30 pm

Events: We will meet at the McDonalds parking lot at 7:30 pm. And wait for all late arrivals. We will hang at McDonalds until 8:30 pm where at that time we will be cruising to the planitirium for photo's. Each car will have the opertunity to have a single photo taken with the Skyline in the background, However, there will be a minimum FEE assesed for single photo shots. LMAO! J/k. :D From here everyone will part they're own ways.

Let me know what you think. This should help to attract all northern, southern, western, and even tose crazy Indianins!
