Smoking has been banned in indoor public areas in Illinois. I would say it's safe.

I'll see what the wife says. How is the atmosphere at this joint?

 

When I was there many years ago, the whirlyball in Downers Grove was a very laid back place. If I recall it was family friendly. A lot of corporate team-building type events were held there, so the atmosphere is pretty tame. Although if you participate in the whirleyball, make sure you wear jeans. The first time I did it I was wearing dockers, and I had seatbelt bruises on top of seatbelt bruises. Their bumper cars go faster than your average bumper car. When I wore a thicker pair of jeans I didn't have as much of a problem. Probably had something to do with the fact that I was a pretty aggresive player That and going full throttle, watching the ball, and forgetting there was a wall coming up on more than one occasion.

 

Haven't actually been there, so can't say about the atmosphere, but as al said, everywhere in IL is smoke free now.

Wait... who's going to be at Stadium tomorrow night? I'll go if we have some people going - I'm on the road next 2 weeks for work, so... yea... it would be nice to get some beer in before then...

also if anyone wants a good hand wash and the inside cleaned for their car theres a place that opened up right next to the stadium. i went there last week they did a great job, about as good if i would have done it my self. i also stayed around and talked to the guys for an hour or 2 and they seem like some great guys. there a bunch of car nuts also and told me if i could get 5 cars to come in at one time we would get a discount. right now the wash is 15 and another 5 if you want some spray on wax. i normaly go to fast eddies or turtle wax to get my wash when its to cold out and these guys do a much better job. so if you want to try to get the deal meet me at the stadium at 630 heres my num if you have any questions 315 523 0914 - luis

Just wanted to really encourage people to sign up for the whirleyball thing. I'm probably not going to be able to make it, but I want to encourage people to give it a try. I've done it two or three times, and it is a great time!

Plus keep this in mind - people have been complaining for awhile now that all we do is meet for food. Aero8 has put a lot of work into planning something different, so all those whiners need to get out there and support it!

If your talking about the Wed. Mini Meets, they are just that mini. It's the Sat. events, like Whirleyball on Mar 8th, that will draw a larger group.
