Anyone know of a good hand car wash in the Schaumburg area? Being an apartment dwekker, I don't always have access to a hose and all, so I was hoping someone might know a place I can get a safe wash

Mine is probably a bit too far for you, but the best one I've found around here (which is backed up by the dozens of cars that are sometimes in line for it) is the BP/Amoco on S. Randall in Algonquin. It's completely touchless, no rails to scratch your rims, and does a great job. I really liked it during the winter because of the heated underbody blast to get the salt and crud off. I once waited 70 minutes to get my car washed there it's so damn popular, but that was before I found out it's open 24/7. Now I go late at night and it's usually no wait.

I'll have to give them a try. I hit the Barrington Auto Spa yesterday. They do hand washes from 9 am - 2 pm Saturday's only. With the 5 dollar off coupon, that was the best 15 bucks I ever spent. They cleaned the car like no one would have, a real attention to detail.
