Smile Chicago! Dills need your help for a Bachelor party!

I'll be in Chi town this next week, and here's the setting:

8 good friends, all male.

1 of whom is the first of us to get married.

We are all from NJ/NY, none of us have ever been to Chicago.

We do plan on going to the St. Pats parade, maybe even jumping in the Green River lol.

But I would like some suggestions for a couple great bars to go to, somewhere loud, crazy, that will match the mood that all of us will be in.

Thanks again everyone.

I don't hit the bars anymore, but I will pass on this request on to our local web site.

BTW, the river is always green. They just turn it more of a floresent green for St. Patty's day.
The city parade should be on north Dearborn St. http://www.chicagostpatsparade.com/, but the one you want to go to is the South Side St. Patricks Day Parade. That is where the beer flows and it's fun to watch the drunks. http://www.southsideirishparade.org/

The Chicago River is higher than Lake Michigan. If you opened the locks, the water would flow into the lake.

Unfortunately I never hit the bar scene in the city too much, but check with Red Devil and RedSheDevil.

Not sure where you get your info. The water flows from the lake into the river not the other way around. The army did that a few years back, around 1900.

Now that I think about it, you are correct. It's been a while since I took my boat through the locks.
The reason the Army Corp of Engineers changed the flow of the river was to keep the pollution out of Lake Michigan and the drinking water supply for Chicago.

Yep, no poop in the cribs.

(people not from Chicago will have no idea what I'm talking about)

Highly recommend Lincoln Park or more so Wrigleyville.

Lincoln Park:
The Lionhead Pub apartment (No Cover 99.9% of the time unless very packed), Max bar (lastime cover was $5, might be no cover if in before certain time maybe) and John Barleycorn. And more to choose from...

Wrigleyville:
John Barleycorn better go here then the one in Lincoln Park its better and Casey Morans. And plenty more to choose from...

Its more pricey in the following... plus others
Downtown:
SoundBar (trance, house, hip hop), Transit Hip Hop, House, Spanish mix, Crobar trance, house, hip hop, Repbulik hip hop, house. And more...

That some of the music styles and they play and porbably more, check out www.chicagocenterstage.com or red eye newspaper (free) for more entertainment.
