Hey, I know this should probably be posted on one of the other forums, but I was wondering if anyone had any input on an after market exhaust.

I'm thinking of getting a TurboXS one (looking for something on the louder side), but was curious to see what you guys had to say on the topic

Although that 10 exit on the Volvo there looks pretty bitchin'.......... maybe ill have to go the custom route

Yeah.... I want loud, but not ridiculous loud. As long as it doesn't cause any noise violations for SCCA events & such, since I hope to be using the car for that

Take a look at high flow cats, like the RP Supercats. They actually give you some power gains. Not much, but some. And they will make your exhaust note more aggresive.

Then check the rule book and figure out what can be done for your class of racing. If you are talking Solo II Stock class, I know catbacks are allowed. I'm not sure that a replacement cat, such as a hi flow cat, are legal. These could bump you into the STX(?) class.

well I have made some comitments to some people to meet up at the bbq the 2nd week of august to deliver some parts so I am targeting the 6-7-8th to make my run.

If anyone wants me to pick something up for them let me know. the majority of what is availabe is posted on the last page but give me an email if you need some smaller bit's and i will see if they are available.

The guys that were interested in seats are out so I have a lot of room left in the truck.

My bumper just got tagged this weekend while my car sat in a parking lot.... fortunately the other guy reported it, but it needs a new one since he put his hitch through the bumper on mine.

Anyone have any body shops they recommend other than sterling? I think that one may be a bit far from me. (I'm in Naperville)

Bumpers can be repaired. Body shops have a method in which they patch the hole and blend the paint. You'll never know it was repaired. The part they can't repair is the faux grill work area in the center bottom of the bumper.

The hole is in the black plastic portion of the rear bumper, so Im not sure what all they can do with that... either way, Im glad they actually reported the accident instead of just taking off

sorry, no dice. got the car back today and it looks like they took the same cover from my old one.

luis, i did get a rental i didn't have to pay for, a crappy base cobalt. probably the worst car i've ever rented.

when i turned in my car yesterday i noticed there was a mazda receipt in the work order packet, so THAT was a relief to know i got an oem bumper. and fortunately, there was no frame damage. the cool thing that came out of this was that my old bumper had a bunch of scratches from loading and unloading my drum equipment, so now the back end looks brand new! does anyone know where i can get that clear protective 3M clear bra stuff? i'd like to put that on the top surface of my rear bumper.
