There was a double murder by my home this morning. It was 4-5 blocks away. The elementary school (2 blocks away) was evacuated to the nearest middle school.

 

Holy crap! Sounds like 2008 is starting off pretty rocky ...

 

Just found out that one of my son's friend's mom from our church got a new kidney last night...in Madison...from one of the fatalities at the accident we were at...amazing...

And of course the tornado that hit poplar grove went right over my house - touched down in Rock Cut State park briefly - only 3 miles away...crazy...

Wow, I saw both of those stories on the news (the Madison wreck and the murder in Villa Park). Glad you made it out of the wreck ok, and glad Al wasn't involved in the murder - on the news they said it was a domestic thing, so I think Al's in the clear

I had to put the smack down on a couple of threads. One of them turned into 6 pages of arguments starting with the 2nd post. Had to give a warning to one participant for unsportsmanlike conduct, ironically not one of the original posters, and then closed the thread.
