Damn, that's the exact same time I'm on vacation, lol! 16th-24th I'll be in the Caymans, but I'm sure you guys won't feel sorry for me:P I'm sure the other Cedar Rapids guys would be up for it though, they didn't make it to the Omaha meet.

 

**** cant make any weekday meets. I work... Pubs or bars idk since im only 19 :/ otherwise whatever you guys decide on should be fine. Im sure will try to hold one here in CR before fall or maybe in the beginning of fall so we can all see each others cars before they go into hibernation and possibly plastic surgery.

 

All of those places are restaurants so you'd be fine.

Sunday or Friday evening works best for me. 2 hour travel time makes during the week hard between work and school.

 

I hope you guys take lots of pictures and Fencig, I hope you can make it to a CR meet some time, I need to see a Copper Red in person

 

My sister lives in CR so I'm sure I'll be there yet this summer. Let me know when you guys get together and I'll zanio her up for the trip. I want to see the ti gray in person too, it was my 2nd choice but never got to see one.

 

RemixLP and I just found another red 8 in town and I talked to him. He works at a dealer and he's a real rotary nut, he's owned a bunch of different RX models and he just put the Greddy kit on his 8, he's still tuning it and adding parts. He also has parts he wants to sell too, not sure what. He was really into the chrome pieces which isn't my thing, but some might be interested.

 

Any updates guys?? I know there is a local auto x event in waterloo the 3rd which i might head up to see, And ill be going to Chicago for Six flags the 9th. Otherwise other weekends I'm free. Also i know of some rx7s that we could get to come, maybe some other Mazda's too.

I was thinking... We should all (everyone that is possible) meet up before the restaurant so we all get to know each other and take some pictures. then caravan to which ever restaurant/location we all plan on. I know rotaryGod said he doesnt have much time in the noon to meet up. So He could just meet us at the restaurant or wherever. I Know id like to be in place somewhere by noon so we can have some Sun time for good pictures. just an idea. Will be posting this in the IA rx7 section.

 

The sunday works the best for me if we're looking to meet up at noon somewhere. I'm game for it.

How about the SUNDAY the 17th? Meet up around what? 2 PM at any nearby park. DSM people help me out i dont really know of any good places where we could catch some shade and take some nice pictures. Then Whatever else is on the books for plans.

 

um...there is gray's lake in Des Moines, but I don't know if it's opened yet due to the flooding..........

Alright thanks man, i have been looking for nice parks through the MSN maps application. LOL but will figure it out for sure.

 

I'll be up there in a little over a week so let's get something planned so I can try to plan the rest of my trip around it if possible.

I'll get there the evening of the 9th and will be leaving the morning of the 16th.

I'll be coming back to the homeland to see the family (and the fair) August 8-13 with my RX-8, and I'm from just outside of DSM so I could also meet up with you guys on the 10th (or any of those days).

 

I might be able to make the 10th.

 

Later in the afternoon is better. My wife works the night before 7pm-7am so she'll want to sleep for a while on Sunday before I take off and leave her watching the kids
