Hello my name is mark, I will be making a road trip up to ames from san antonio Oct 2-6 and i'm interested in checking out the scene. Is anyone interested in meeting up? I know this is well in advance but i'm tryin to plan out everything before I get there. I'll be staying in Ames but I will make a run out to Des Moines preferably a day meet as I will be taking GF out for dinner/movie etc...

Sadly it is a very quiet area in Iowa. There are very few 8's in Iowa compared to other states. It's nice for keeping us "exotic" but makes it hard to get things like meets going. I've only been to one in the 2 years I've had mine and there were oly five 8's there.

Jus wanted to follow up after my trip. It was long and very boring but I got to see a lot of things new to me since I have never been out of TX. Ames was nice but the rest of IA is...not for me haha. Didnt get to check out Des Moines though. Hopefully I will be back and I would maybe like to take a trip up to Cedar Rapids to meet with some other 8's next time. BTW I spotted a red 8 with painted black stock rims, clean car if your on here.

 

if it had a autobahn front then it was me. If it was just a base model then it was probably my neighbour. I just saw this thread lol otherwise i would have met up with you since i go to school in ames.
