~04/19/2009 Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Spring Meet, Grill and Cruise~
chevy and toyota attempted to make a cheaper sports car, but you cant hind the fact the SS is built on the old cavalier frame --horrible handling.
The t/c well that is just a skinny camry with some flashy styling.
The SS may go faster in a straight line, but stock rx-8's 50/50 weigh distribution and lenghty gears will take that in the backroads anyday.
(the SS handles like an srt-4, and we know they cant stop or turn left
)

No offense, but I'm not too sure whether or not you actually know anything about the new cobalt ss/tc. They pulled an 8:22 on the Nurburgring with a stock one. I don't think RX8s pull sub 9:00. The Cobalt was featured in Car and Driver's best handling contest and pulled better lap times than the RX8 there as well.

the ring has a 2 mile straightaway? duh.
but road and track did the test.
10. shelby gt500
9. COLBALT SS
3.RX8
1. audi R8
the test said its not how quick you go, but its how the car feels. And i have driven many of cars(work in garages) and believe me it go goes fast in a straight line and has some handling skills, but just cant shed the bones of the cavalier frame.

I want one!
Im debating to sell all my goodies off my 8 and sell my car. I want to get a sport bike and a less pricey car because I have a lot of expenses coming up..for example, an engagement ring for the woman!
What are some of your ideas guys? I am having some difficulty on deciding what to do.

so what it be man?
I convinced my bf to come to the meet and he's trying to get a couple of his friends who are VW enthusiasts to come also.
I think it would be a good idea if everyone brought their own food to grill. That's kind of what I was planning on doing anyway. The bf and I could bring a sack of charcoal too.
Oh, do we have a plan B for the cookout if it's raining or something?

I already bought it steve the zoom zoom can.
The problem is that my vacuum nipple behind the TB broke off when I had the racing beat intake in. But jeff said that you knew another way to do it??? I hope because I want to do this.
Also the techs at mazda told me that I should do the DeCarbon and let it sit over night and then finish in the morning...it allows the apex seals to swell and makes them last much longer so if anyone is up for doing it on that saturday and then finishing on sunday before we take the cars out to drive it out until the smoke is gone.....just some thoughts
LET ME KNOW PEEPS and also Steve i have know idea what I am doing with decarbon so I will need help....hahaha

yeah there are 4 vacuum places we can use to get the zoom zoom can in haha.
you dont really need to leave it over night what i have done for the past couple years is
1) put in half of the can thru the vacuum line
2) let it sit for at least 15 min
3) put the rest of the sea foam can in 1/2 of gas thank.
4) go for a 20 - 50 cruise using high rpms .....
car will be as clean as it can be haha ...
if you have alot of carbon removed you will notice that spike in recovered horse power ...
its a great feeling haha
PS: josh were you on 75 north by fort mitchell in saint pattys night around 10nish? if so i bike passed you in the right heading north... that was me
