De-carbon is a procedure to get rid of the carbon from the engine which means that carbon build up is our engines worst enemy to life, performance and reliability.

By getting rid of the carbon build up, the engine has a greater chance of staying problem free. And plus, it might free up a few ponies..I know it did for me. Its best to do the de-carbon when its starting to get warm out because, when its cold, the car takes longer to warm up and the car usually sits longer which means it will be prone to carbon build up.

Anyone in the Cincy / NKY area that have a black 8, would want to trade trunks? I have a spoiler on my trunk and would like to trade for one without a spoiler.

Also, anyone know where I can buy an authentic Mazdaspeed body kit for a decent price?

I think a "de-carbing" meet would be great! i have no clue how to do it..

This is not necessarily correct! Well yeah what you are saying is correct when the car is NOT being de-carbon. However when sea foam is used to do this procedure, it stays in your car for couple days “cleaning”! (You’ll see your car smoke fore couple days) So the longer your engine is on the better.. more carbon breakdown .. and again this only applies when de-carboning with seafoam!
I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve been told!
I typically use half the sea foam bottle to clean the engine directly thru a vacuum line and the other half I toss it in the gas thank!

I drove yesterday from Cinci to Columbus to Dayton to Home. Up north, they already have some snow. I had to pick up my wife from the airport in Columbus. (Long story but that was the closest they could get her to home and it was a day late!!!)

Anyway, drove over 225 miles and still have over 1/4 tank. I am just glad it wasn't tomorrow.

Finally!! My Agency Power Exhaust just arrived!! The thing is pretty much the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen..well of course except for my lady! But its pretty badass!!

Anyways, anyone want to help me install the exhaust. I would do it myself but I dont have a jack or jack stands..Santa forgot to put them under the tree for me this year. If you would help, I can reimburse who ever helps me with some beer, or money or whatever they seem fit.

This thing would already be on my car if I had the right tools. And I havent even had it for an hour yet! Haha.

I got the exhaust on yesterday. Boy does it sound like pure sex! Very very nice exhaust and I am happy I went with it!

Just ordered on new coilovers today, so they should be here in a few days or so and I will be ordering new tires since the ones that are on the car are pretty much shot.

Fracking Cold!

My digital temperature gauge said -7!!!!

It took about twice as long to start as normal. I wanted to know if anyone else felt the transmission to be as stiff as mine felt. That was definitely different.

Yea I noticed that too about the tranny. Mine was reving on its own for about 2 min. It was the oddest thing I ever seen but kinda cool at the same time.

I got the Megan Racing Coilovers. They should be here soon. Would anyone want to help me with the install. Paul..do you think you could give me a hand? I saw that you did yours. I dont know if I would want to spend $200 to get them installed.

The tires that I will be ordering here shortly are the Kuhmo Esctas. They are $100 each. I will be ordering 19 inch rims in the summer time, so I dont need an expensive tire right now.

I hate the cold!! This morning my car was outside all night and when I left to run some errands, felt like I was driving on squares. Haha.

Temperature permitting, I can help you. It is not too difficult. The hardest part is removing the top spring perches (Maybe the Megan Coil Overs don't require this step) Anyway, I did this in my garage with some help from my son. (He handed me tools when I was under the car.)

Are the Kuhmo tires for winter or summer. I had the SPT (summer tire) and they were like driving on ball bearings on the snow. I have ASX on my MiniVan (don't laugh) and they work pretty well. You also might want to consider winter tires for the factory rims. I have Pirelli Snow Tires and I have better grip in the snow than my van.

Just looked up the Pirelli Winter 240 SnowSport OUCH they are expensive!!!

Tire rack had them for 183 each at closeout. Not exactly cheap. (I paid about $150 per tire last year)

However, it is great in the snow and cold weather. They don't drive like rocks when they are cold. My SPT's did drive like rocks in the cold.

Thanks Paul. I actually just ordered my Ecstas a few minutes ago and I only paid $89 a tire. I would get winter tires, but I dont feel like forking over 180 plus a tire..I wish I could and would want to, but I will brave the cold for a few more months on summer tires.

Just let me know if you would want to help me put them on. I can remburse you anyway you seem fit. I can give you money, beer. You name it. I should be getting the coilovers either tomorrow or tuesday/wednesday. I think its suppose to warm up next weekend. Just let me know..
