in 2009 and 2010, I was in a road rally held in cincinnati area, called Jawbreaker.
I was not a driver, but navigated on my friends 350z... it was so much fun.
they couldn't have 2011 rally due to some organizer's schedule, but am pretty sure they are planning on having again in 2012.

Here is the link to their homepage, and though they haven't updated for a while, Contact Trevor on contact page, and they should be able to give you some good insights on how hey run the event.

If you think that's difficult, throw in the oil cooler screens and it gets even more narrow to get that housing in n out. Hopefully replacing the bulb doesn't require you to take the entire thing out. Even so, it should only take an hour or two for a first timer

I was afraid of that screen, damn it I think I found a solution to the issue however and when I get back from New Mexico a magic wand will have been waved above Lucy and all will be fixed....at least that is the plan. I have a gifted car-sitter for her maybe while I am gone so she doesn't have to sit at CVG AND she can get some work done to her at the same time. Win-Win!

Not sure I like the front end much. The fogs don't do it for me. Too bad the fogs aren't down lower and it had just a small strip across the front to break up the acres of body.

Just my humble opinion, but who am I to say with a grinning S2.

Anyone ever deal with the Wheel Doctor over in Deer Park/Blue Ash? I'm going to take one of the factory rims over next week to get some rash off it. I'm also going to check to see how much it would cost to powder coat/paint the factory rims a darker color. I spoke to them today and they said about $85-100 per rim, which is cheaper than buying new rims by at least half.

Also thinking about getting the Eibach springs since they have a 10% rebate going on before Dec 31.

Since I'm having trouble finding a place to do this swap, I decided to get the interior of this piece back together today, and a new addition I'll probably get flamed for this, but it's a 154 dollar shipped ebay head unit. I really like it. Sound quality is great, at least to my ears, rear view camera and the like. The only issue I'm having is it's just a bit too big for the metra kit. Fortunately, it still fits good enough to function.

I have used them, took over four wheels for myself and a friend's stock Accord wheel. They did a really nice job, I wasn't in a hurry so they took 2-3 days but it was worth it. My wheels were going to be for the Speed but I had rubbing in the rear so ended up putting them on the 8. Of course a couple now have curbing again (thanks dear).

I think an OEM Mazda symbol may even help with the acres of body on that bumper

Anyone want to help me install the springs Friday night if I can't get them installed at work?
Moete,

Did you get the coil overs or just the springs? Running stock shocks?

I love the bumper and I understand most people think it's ugly. It does look a lot better on a darker color. I need to get my tire/ride height figured out before I decide what to do. If I can't get it high enough, I may go with a factory front lip with a HD lip, and just throw on the MS sides, similar to Braska's car. All I know is there is no way in h*** I am going to put on that FB with a tire that is only 24.75 inches tall!

Is there anyone on here that has connections with tires? I need a discount! That is once I figure out the size I want to go with.

I reeeaaallly like those Federal RS-R's in 265/35 flavor, but not sure yet, cause they aren't much taller, I think 25.3 so I guess to put on this bumper I would be more inclined in putting on something closer to 26" which is stock. I don't know, there are sooo many options with this car, it's amazing!

Wheel Doctor is where I will take my rims if I decide to hit something someday, and realize Forgestar doesn't make the finish anymore. I called them a couple months back after I found out this info and they quoted me $125 a wheel to powdercoat any color I want. -not bad

I am not a fan of the fogs either but to each their own...

I got my MS rear and sides in today... Sucks having to put them up until spring though.

Part of the problem is the angle in which the photo was shot. It's too low and close so the perspective is off.

Still don't like the fogs where they are at. Just my opinion (and I'm right).

Sure ya are

So if any of you didn't know today was Kevin Durbin's last day working at King's Mazda, guess my car finally pushed him over the edge, lol. He is working at a Ford dealership now I guess - WTF? What a waste of rotary mechanical skills - unless he knows something about Ford's new 2013 line-up that we don't , lol.

Happy Holidays folks, I am off to New Mexico for two weeks to party.

Don't tell me you're painting them GREEN. I'll never park next to you. LOL

I'm going dark on my wheels. I'm going to check out Wheel Doctor next week and decide if I go with them and have them paint my factory rims the shade of the R3 rims or something else. I don't see myself going to wider rims and slamming it and rolling fenders. Too low in the suspension and I probably will need some type of driver assist device to get in and out of the car, so either keep the 8" 18 factory rims or buy some Enkei rims. I'd probably save about 100 bucks per rim getting them painted.

Can I get a trailer from the Scooter Store to mount on the back of the 8? At the rate I'm going, I may need a mobile transportation device if my back and neck don't get better soon.

Actually, I was thinking of anodizing them PURPLE lol - I think the darker color on the stock wheels will look great on your car. Have you ever seen these?

I think these look great on your S2.

Interesting choice. But I do think it could look very good if done right.

By the way since you're putting on the new bumper, you're old fogs will be available?

Like this purple? You'd have the green too! LOL

I haven't seen those wheels, but kind of pricey. I was thinking about these or similar type. These are Enkei Raijin.

or the Enkei EMK3

Dan, I have to get my wheel/tire situation figured out before the body kit goes on. This won't happen for a long time. But you can have them

Mazdax3 this one is for you... Five AD

Not bad looking wheels BB. I think the darker wheels on a silver car look good. If I add the window tint, it might look pretty good.

I'm probably going to order some new springs next week. I'm going to hold off on shocks for a few months and see how it feels.
