Pretty sure I saw Kevin cruising through downtown Milford on his way back from Fuel. Unfortunately this was on my lunch break from work... which isn't supposed to happen on Saturday with a 9-5 job.
Nope we saw in drive by though. Funny that it happened since we were just talking about it.
Yep, probably was me. I've been procrastinating on the whole putting it away thing. Sucks when you have to work saturdays.
Finally broke down and bought the video from 2011 DGRR and at ~ 13:40 the dragon run section happens to pass Brian in his FB, Kevin (Fuz) in his 8, Shane in his FC and me in my 8 which seems funny that of all the filming done they happened to get our little caravan group....it was right when we were pulling off the road for Brian to barf I think, lol. Weird and just had to share
I have been having some hot start issues lately. 2004 with 62 K and the original starter. I decided to try the starter first and went the bargain AAP for under $100 and it made actually matters worse. Other than that hot start the car has ran better than when I bought it so hadn't suspected compression was the issue. Looks like I will be calling Kings in the morning...

I will be finding out Friday at 11:00 and have BHR standing by for a flywheel and clutch upgrade purchase pending my results.

Tried starting the 8 yesterday (been sitting in the drive) with no luck. The battery was low (it was the original) so went and got a new one today. Still not starting so that means...flooded again! Just got done pushing it into the garage so I'll tackle that fun little job tomorrow. Might have to put a turbo timer on it so the wife HAS to let it idle long enough not to do that again.
She swears she always does what I have told her. I wasn't home the first time so only have suspicions. This time, she moved it to get the Speed out of the garage, and I know she only let it run a minute or so (this despite my specifically telling her to be sure to let it run longer). It as easier to get it over the slight lip into the garage than the Miata, probably due to the difference between 15" and 18" wheels. Although the fact I was pushing the Miata by myself might have had something to do with it as well (my driveway is sloped).
Ok so far - I really don't see much improvement in wet conditions over my summer HP's. Had a friend drive it in the rain and they agreed it was a bit twitchy - not where you felt out of control but it felt lose for him for sure. We need to meet up so you can take it for a spin and see what you think compared to what you have on now....it's of course not suppose to rain until next Thursday.

Let's watch the weather forecast and see if next week we can meet after work and take it for a spin.
Rotor 1 was in the 60's. Kings Mazda said I am getting a new engine for Christmas along with the Exedy MazdaSpeed Clutch and BHR Flywheel installed for free! 25 days left on the warranty...

Who did you deal with at Kings? Scott?
Another reason to patronize Kings. Best Mazda service department in Cincy.
I also need a differential rear gasket replaced so I am gonna let them do it so they can make some money on the deal. I figured $215-230 for replacing an engine, flywheel, clutch, and diff gasket is a steal.
Yes it is. The rear diff seal isn't actually a gasket, it's just rtv. You can't get the diff cover off without dropping the whole pumpkin down, so it's a pain in the ***. You have to pull down the exhaust to get to it, drain it, then unbolt it, clean up the old gasket carefully so you don't get anything in the diff case, then rotate the cover around a little at a time while trying to put rtv on it and not letting the rtv touch anthing else. I wanted to kill Dan when we did his.
Letting them do it is the way to go.

I highly doubt it. More than likely age. I've heard some complaints about RP in the tranny and diff, but not for it destroying seals or rtv or anything. You should be fine. Just stay away from Mobile1 gear oil. I've hear nothing but complaints from people using it.

How does she keep doing that cheif?
