I'm still here. More or less.
I've got a TiGrey in Laramie, I occasionally get out in the summertime and play. As for other 8's around here; there is a pair of blues running around, at least two silvers, and a red one owned by an old guy who just likes to putter about. I think the silvers are students at UW, and I know the owner of one of the blues. I have seen a couple on I-80 from time to time, however.

). But, I've had two incidents recently where I'm beginning to question what they are using. First was the little matter of getting nailed for doing 30+ over the speed limit, where I had at least 3 cars out in front of me, and should have had some level of warning ahead of time; and the other where we were in our Tribute, going south on US 287 and I got a little blip just past the city limits, and nothing for the next 10 miles. When I passed by Mr. WHP, (he was parked, northbound), he watched us closely with a rather evil eye... I'm going to take advantage of the Escort upgrade program and buy a Redline when it comes out next month.

Lol - Wyoming police aren't too bad, I'm still waiting for them to pull me over for clear corners and no front plate though.
But i've only been pulled over twice - the first time I was in my 1972 Chevy Nova going 5 over the limit - I was in high school and the cop walked up to my window and looked at the car from side to side and says "I just love these things." Then he says "I'm gonna let you go with a warning, you know why? Cause I was a kid once too" haha
The second time I was driving from Denver to Gillette and was tired of driving so i was going 90 in the 75 and had no front plate on - the cop gave me a warning for both things

I have no front plate on my 8- and I'm not putting one on. I heard it was only a secondary offense? So they can't just pull you over for no plate- you have be doing something else "illegal". I hate front plate laws- they serve zero purpose except to mess up our bumpers, haha.
Hey all! I live in Utah, but I'm in Wyoming every other week in Green River. I'm a very active member in the Rotary scene in Salt Lake, so I wanted to introduce, myself to the Wyoming enthusiasts and inquire when you all have meets/get togethers. I know Utah has SLCRX8.com, does Wyoming have something similar by chance??

Pretty sure it's a dead scene
. I think SLC is probably about the most active group in the area. Colorado has some meets but it's more of a general mazda scene instead of a pure rotary one.

Hmm, your best bet might be to register on the Colorado mazda club and ask if anything's down there - www.cmzc.net. I know Chickenwafer down in Fort Collins is pretty knowledgeable is that aspect - he had a 8 then switched to a FD7
Good to hear from you Tony. Yeah, I'm still around, just busy as hell at work these days. Just turned over 23K in my 8 last month! Still has that "showroom" smell, lol. Life is good even though I'm working my butt off lately. My new wife is a keeper for sure and makes me very happy. You re-married yet?
