Group Buy on CanZoomer gear

If anyone is interested in joining in on the group buy for the CanZoomer Stage 1 ECU piggyback upgrade, please send an email to the Rocky Mountain Club's mailbox, with CZ1 in the subject line. We are compiling a list, and when we get the required number of people confirmed on this, we will let you know when we are ready!

Thus far, we have about 5 people signed up, of the 10 minimum we need.

Unhappy Canzoomer

I'm on the list, I think....only 5 folks! Poo! I was going to take a road trip to SoCA next month and wanted to have the chip in by then.

I think the usual price on the Stage 1 is $600, but if we can get it down to 10 folks in a group purchase it drops to $500 each. Worth the wait.

drphill is right! $500. I think we're up to six, now. IGO, if you want in, please send an email to the club mailbox, and we'll add you!:D

Epitrochoid is doing a GB on it right now too - why doesn't everyone jump on this to get the best price? I didn't think the $500 GB price was valid anymore . . . he's getting it for $520 or so shipped with 25+ people.

We have 5 people currently signed up of the 10 we need to get the GB rate. And $500 is the price CanZoomer agreed to for us. I think it might be the same for Epitrochoid's GB, but he decided to add another $20 per unit for his trouble.

Yup, we do. So now the count is 6 people in, 4 more needed.

the $20 is mostly to cover shipping and wire transfer fees. Trust me, it doesn't feed my kids :D

If your 5 come on board with me, I'll have all 25 (actually I'll have 27, but that's fine) and can collect payment this week.

I'm not at all trying to take you over, just offering a suggestion.

I'm seriously thinking of joining the GB, but I still have questions. I'm trying to get my dealer service dept. to update my PCM currently running whatever it came with, trying to get "L" version. Have they worked out all the bugs on this?

What would shipping cost if we don't join in on the other GB and just get our own 10 people?

Then it's my own trouble of deciding if I want to do this and a muffler (haven't even started choosing that) or get new rims

I believe you. And now that I know what it's for, $20 sounds reasonable. Hmmm...

Well, that's a thought. I'll send out a note to the members who have signed up for this tomorrow and see how everyone feels, although I'd be surprised if there is any objection. If there isn't, I'll provide you with the email of everyone who's on the list, and you can work with them directly.

All that I would ask is that you be sure to let CanZoomer know that a good part of your GB is Rocky Mountain RX-8 Club members, as we want to get our name out there. Also, I think he's expecting to see us do our own GB.

Thanks for offering, epitrochoid! (What the hell does that mean, BTW? )

Folks, if you're already on the list for a club CZ Stage "X" group buy, please chime in here if you see this and are ok with us throwing in with epitrochoid. It'll shorten the list I have to send out! :D
