What mechanic do you guys use? If its a dealer, which dealer and which guy at that dealer?

 

University Mazda when service is required. Rich/Garcia Mazda is horrible...

 

Well I had to buy my car and Garcia, you think there will be an issue going to UM for repair? I know they dont have a vested intrested in me, but I hate the look and feel of Garcia Mazda.


Also, would have payed more for a car at UM because I liked them soo much but they said they would have to pull one from freight, and I would have to pay the entire price of the car to seal the deal before they would do it. (yuk).

Nothing yet. But im a Computer tech and that does not transfer well to car knowledge.

 

Dealers don't care about purchase vs support. Different departments and money buckets internally.

I tried and tried to buy a car from Univeristy. I liked them, they were straight up etc...they just didn't have the car I wanted. Bought in Santa Fe.

I'm hoping the service department at University is good...

 

University is great, with all my problems they always got the car done right and fast. And when they kept it for a few days, they gave me a loaded new jetta to beat on. There mechanics are funny too. Always have jokes about another 8 in their shop.

 

I took my car to get an oil change at "my" dealership which is Garcia Mazda. I walked over to the garage door and watched from outside, but the lead mech just got up and left. After about 10 minutes of my car 5 inchs off the ground, the manager came over to me and said that he doesnt like to be watched and I need to go somewhere else. WTF!?! So the mechanic just runs and hides? I dont think I will go there again, but not sure how University will treat me. Guess I will find out.
Oil change btw (only car there at the time) took 55 minutes.

 

Garcia Mazda sucks... I strongly recommend you go to University! They are open until 7pm, extremely nice and happy to answer your questions. However the woman at the check out drives me nuts... A turtle moves faster......

 

I know the woman you are taking about and are you really sure she is as fast as that Ocho?

I have not had any kind of bad service from Universtity Mazda! Rich on the other hand that is another story.
