Sounds good about doing an autocross with your group sometime. Let me know when the next event is.

Just letting you know that there is an autocross event this coming weekend (24th). It is at Sugar River Raceway in Broadhead, WI (go cart track). Madison Sports Car Club is the host again. Let me know if you are interested.

One more thing about the autocross school....last year they had everyone get 8 timed runs in the afternoon; so you get the same amount of timed runs that you would at a regular event, but due to the smaller attendence, you get the classroom in the morning as well.

Thanks for the compliment on the wheels. I just got them about a month ago.

As for the autocross school. I found some information that breaks down the day's events:
    http://forums.chicagovw.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=13260

I know that a lot of the information would probably be redundant to someone who has autocrossed before, but I figure if I learn even one new thing, it would be worth it. I also think I will get more positive seat time at this event than I would at a regular event. I also installed some springs about a month ago, so I have not tested the limits of my new suspension or tires yet, so I figured this would be a good learning event for myself. One of the other guys going ('91 Miata, SCCA prepped) has plenty of autocross experience, but he is still planning on coming with.

It is up to you if you want to go or not, so the invitation will stand. I also emailed MSCC and requested a rooster of everyone who signed up, to see if there is even any spots left.

I mailed in the form about 2 weeks ago. I plan on emailing the group's secretary this week probably to make sure everyone in my group is on the list. I have not received confirmation that my form was received, but I would be really surpised if the event is full already.

We will probably be leaving Dubuque around 6:30-7ish AM. What car do you think you will be bringing? RX8 or RX7?

That is great that you have finally finished your FD. I will continue to look for it.

I just started autocrossing last year, and I do it with the Madison Sports Car Club. They also have an event coming up this weekend, but I don't plan on going. However, I am going to the autocross "school" on the 29th:

I am making the trip with two Miata's from Dubuque. Let me know if you are interested at all, and as long as there is still a spot open, it will be a good first time for the FD.
