great news, when i took it back to o reilly's the crankshaft sensor was off, and the emissions leak was the only thing that showed up, so i tightened it really hard and the code was cleared, there's no light any more.

    Justin,

I would tighten your gas cap and see how that works. Let me know you can hit me up 727 204 7812

    hey james,

i'm in a little bit of a dilemma. so it rained like a week ago for a good bit, remember? i was driving in my neighborhood and in a little bit of a hurry to get home and i took a turn too hard and spun around. thankfully nobody was around me. but a few days go by and i drove to p'cola to go to uwf to turn some financial aid info in and the next day my CEL came on. i took it to O Reilly's and did the diagnostic test myself. 2 issues came up: 1. the crankshaft sensor A and 2. emissions code (gas cap, whic i replaced)

i disconnected the battery and reconnected and did the brake tap 20+ times to reset the ECC, and everything went off. however about 10 minutes ago i just went to get gas and the CEL is back. my dad says i shouldn't take it to a dealer because of how much they charge, and instead i should take it to a guy that usually works on our cars. but i know if i take it to a dealer, it'll be done right.

how serious is the issue and what should i do?

    Justin
