Rear lip spoiler
Can you get the Euro rear lip spoiler? I could not find a picture, but on the MazdaUK website it says: "To Improve Fuel Economy all European Mazda RX-8 models will be fitted with a small Boot Lip Spoiler. This is not an option." There are quite a few forum members that are interested in this item. Thanks.

Ned, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to track down the owner of that red 8 and find out where they got their lip spoiler!
MazdaUSA, you can make this a lot easier on us! Marshall, let us know if you've made any headway.
Until we can find a supplier, here's the best plan I can think of...
There are folks in the UK who want to get rid of their standard lip spoiler so that they can add a big wing without leaving any holes to fill.
(Check out this thread: http://rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/vie...hlight=spoiler)
There may even be some owners interested in a clean look with no spoiler at all.
Maybe we colonials can set up some sort of trunk/boot exchange with these blokes across the pond. Bloody good win/win if you ask me, especially if the only cost will be shipping.
Picture tpryor on his next UK visit with his luggage checked to Heathrow: One RX-8 trunk lid, yellow. And then him going around trying to peddle it around UK Mazda dealerships and owners throughout his vacation.

I've done some follow-up myself, I've inquired direct with a dealer in the UK as well as having an aquaintance who lives there inquire also ask and basically got the same price. You will not believe it.. what total crap for such a small piece! The prices ranged from £479 to £551 sterling, yeah that's over $1,000 US dollars.. WTF!!
If you can come up with wayyyy better I think some here would buy, but not at the price above.

At 1K you could in fact go to someone and get it manufactured much cheaper.
Yes, you will need to drill 4-5 holes and it also comes with adhesive sticky stuff.

I agree. $150 - 200 and I'm in. I may not challenge him on picture taking (although I have the same camera...)but I would challenge BrotherVoodoo to see who can order first.
