i was wondering if the new fuel doors somehow plugged the 'pipe' a la a gas cap, such that all it would take to fill would be to pop the release. only because this fits my unrealistic view of what a racing door would be like

 

This just replace's your fuel door only. 2 screws at the hinge and bolt on this one. You use your gas cap that is on the car . The fuel lid as nothing to do with the cap.
