Possible Damage from Water to the Interceptor/Stock ECU?
Possible Damage from Water to the Interceptor/Stock ECU?
While I am waiting for replacing my blown motor, I am thinking about relocating the battery to the trunk, and the interceptor/stock ecu to the passenger side glove box.
After installing the interceptor, the stock ecu box is not sealed anymore, and there is significant openings allowing water to go inside the box. Hence I am a little concerned about possible water damage to the ecus.
Any inputs? Ideas?
Thanks and regards,
Sammy

I had thought about this, and also talked about water leakage with PURNRG. I didn't think it would be a big deal unless I had a vented hood. I didn't drive the car all weekend, and checked under the hood after the big storm this past weekend, and there was quite a bit of water in various places. So yes, I'm starting to get a little concerned as well.
I plan to move both the interceptor and stock ecu to inside the car due to the wiring set up. I think it will be easier to do that rather than just move one of them. However I need to double check agin the main ecu wiring harness (the one go to the stock ecu originally) to see if it is long enough to go through the firewall.
