Wink Microtech Dash Display

Microtech Dash Display
$425.00

Mazsport offers this dash display for the RX-8. It is compatible with the Interceptor-X and can be used with NA or turbo applications.

FEATURES

Easy to read display

User definable shift lights which illuminate in 250RPM increments and at redline will display "shift gears"

User definable water temp, boost, and air temp warning lamps. Default screen displays actual engine water temps under vaccuum and then automatically switch's to a digital boost guage under boost.

Allows the built in Interceptor-X Ignition lockout with user definable PIN number. Simply turn the ignition on and enter your PIN, failure to do so will prevent the engine from being started. This is great for leaving your vehicle at the airport for added safety.

Quick set up for temporary revcut or manifold pressure ignition cut for Valet purposes.

Allows the owner of the Interceptor-X equipped vehicle quick and easy access to all laptop or interface adapotor.

Well built aluminum case with mounting bracket . Mometary button allows to toggling between screens without actually touching the display. Lights illuminate 2 yellow (warning) and 2 red (Caution)

Mazsport recommends this to all of our RX7 and RX8 owners This can be used as an addition to the RX8 for those of you who have the Interceptor-X! I have the Interceptor-X with my non turbo RX8. This would be a great way to have more control over my 8 without having to plug in the laptop. This unit can easily be mounted almost anywhere in your 8....Keep in mind that these are shipped in from Microtech in Australia. We have them in stock currently.

Basically, could one get away with this instead of gauges? Especially if you can tell it to issue warnings for past certain boost levels, or water temp, etc...

I didn't realize you could use it to change maps until I read the ebay listing. You should add that part to this post! Before I went to ebay I didn't think it was a big deal.

Do you have any pics or video of this thing in action? In the mean time I'm going to research it more. It sounds like a good idea to me if it can replace my boost gauge and laptop (still in search of good gauge pod solution).

edit: I found 2 pics online of it turned on.
2 more questions, the description says it does max/min datalogging? Can you expand on that? Does it accept AFR input from your WBO2 via the Int-x? Thanks

Hmm that would look mighty nice filling in the empty void where my ashtray used to reside!

Looks like it might be a tad too big, but that only means I'd get to repackage it and make it even more integrated into the car (first mod: red LCD backlighting)

My ashtray went the way of: "That needs to become a gauge pod" except that I hacked it all up and never finished the project...it's a bad place for critical gauges anyway. I have another project in mind that will allow me to place two gauges in a better spot but not on the A pillar or in the NAV area

it does look lovely in the FDs that come into the shop.....this is definately on my list of things to add for my 8. i have the NA interceptor and the cooling fan kit. This would be a great way for me to have control without having to worry about a lap top all of the time.
