The evolution of Mazsport!

A brief history:

Mazsport started as a high performance Mazda facility in 2001 providing installation, service, race car preparation and tuning services. During this time, hundreds of engines were built and installed in various chassis, numerous customers won races and championships while running our products or using our preparation services.

In 2004 we acquired an RX-8 as a platform to develop and perform the required testing of products for Mazda’s new Rotary sports car. As we know, Mazda did an excellent job in many areas of the new vehicle but a significant amount of performance enthusiast’s contacted us requesting our assistance with increasing power levels!

With the development of our Interceptor-X E.M.S. we quickly realized there was more power in the RX-8 and reliable F/I became possible. A reliable 275rwhp daily driver status caught the attention of not only RX-8 owners but many other vehicles on the road and at the track. We continued to push the engine, modify the internals and further improve the horsepower output with our turbo kits and as with any vehicle the RX-8 when asked for twice the RWHP began to show other area’s that needed improvement to maintain a reliable daily driver status.

As more owners began to modify their vehicles we decided to focus more of our efforts on the product development side of the industry. Fortunately, we have been graciously welcomed and supported by the RX-8 community for our efforts but quickly found ourselves overwhelmed with the demand for our products. Admittedly, in the last year we have found ourselves constantly playing catch-up to meet the demand for our products and services. We have realized that there are areas that were in need of improvement and have recently attacked these areas head on!

The Evolution!

In the last six weeks we have moved into our new facility designed to accommodate the continued growth of Mazsport. We have consolidated our multiple facilities to a single larger facility and have hired qualified personnel to achieve our goals.

The new facility houses a larger fabrication shop with increased staffing, expanded tooling and has immediately improved our manufacturing capabilities.

We have also expanded our electronics shop which will allow us to no longer remain at the mercy of larger companies and the delays incurred with them. This combined with an additional electrical engineer and tooling has also significantly reduced production times.

The new larger product development and installation area will allow us to continue expanding our product line and facilitate multiple product testing and reduced installation times.

For our existing customers, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Your continued support and patience as we have grown into an RX-8 product company has been greatly appreciated! The phone calls and emails voicing your support has helped define a clear focus towards the future.

For those who have not yet done business with Mazsport, keep in mind we offer additional benefits as RX-8 specialists that we call the Mazsport advantage! Unlike bedroom based business’s, ALL new products purchased from Mazsport include built-in technical support from people with extensive experience with the platform and the products for it. If you or your technician have a question regarding installation, tuning, settings etc. simply pick-up the telephone and you can speak to someone who has actually performed the install and likely has an RX-8 in the shop with the same or equivalent modifications.

Thank you again for your continued support and understanding as we improve and refine Mazsport to better suit our customers needs.

Scott

Now if only I could win the lottery so I can come down and see it. Ah well. Going back to school yet again and becoming an EMS...so I shall be making more money that way at least. Might have to wait yet another year.

Scott,
Sorry to bother you. I know you must be very busy. I mailed in my Interceptor-X dongel about a week ago. Don't know if you got it. Kind of worry that you did not get it. Since you guys moved. Congrads on new facilities.

lmao yeah thats him. Yeah we both are dying for it, we took his greddy turbo off his car, (mine now!), and we just sit in his garage looking at his torn apart car.

Sometimes we sit in it and pretend were driving, but don't tell anyone that.
