Upgrade starters are back

Finally, we have a small number of the N3H1-18-400A brand new OEM starters to offer you. The supply is small (Half dozen) so don't hesitate.

Note: These are for manual transmission 04-08 RX8s.

If you are in the US, you can buy from our site, otherwise contact me as shipping info will be wrong. US customers, please make sure you select 'NO' when asked "In GA?" unless you are (In Georgia). Make sure you enter your zip code so the program can figure shipping.

These may not ship for about a week, so please be patient and you will receive tracking info as soon as we have it to offer.

It's an honor to serve you.

Reminder: These are not the remanufactured versions available in the US. They are the real deal available in Japan and a few other countries. I am providing N3H1-18-400A or N3Z1-18-400 which are both superior to the unit found in 04 and early 05 cars. These are helpful in preventing fuel flooding due to the higher cranking speed they provide.

Picture shows comparison in size to the original unit.

here's the all important question:

Can the +1 tooth 2009+ N3R3 starter pinion gear be mounted on this starter and still interface properly with the flywheel?

The answer is yes but retail on the necessary components from Mazda is $555 .

I'm looking into every avenue to provide the improvements. The first practical one is the N3H1-18-400A for 04 owners and those with early 05 models. The difference is nice.

Huh, the pinion gear is not expensive. If you have to change all the guts too then it wouldn't maje any sense.

What's the difference in these and ordering an "07+" reman?
Cause my reman is a 2kw (advertised 2kw, but I think it says 1.7 on the sticker) starter that looks like your longer one. It spins REALLY fast.

Yeah, different pinion shaft ($421) and bearing along with the pinion gear.

Ours is OEM improved version for cheaper than normal. I'm not sure about remans from anyone.

+1 --- cash in hand --- I recall Ash mentioning that we do have an upgrade available but it's not widely known.
