If it goes on my car, it has to be functional. Could you check Paul? I just need either a claim of function from the manufacturer, or an example of a race team using it.
Mazdaspeed parts has gone thru Wind Tunnel testing.

Same thing for some RE-Amemiya body parts

Not sure about Autoexe, but their kits should help too. at least I know their brace parts really have data to back it up (From Le Mans)

I was gonna do the full MazdaSpeed bodykit, but the AutoExe nose is cheaper, and makes the older generation RX-8 look like the demonic pokemon like TTAC said about the 09s. :D

EDIT: BTW, how did you know about MS's wind tunnel testing?

I believe SpeedSource commented on the MS kits aero when they started their program up.

Hopefully Paul can prove me wrong, but it sort of looks like by the time you get the foglights and the bumper painted, your into the MS price range.

Well, the local Maaco here does an excellent job with painting, and it costs what, $200 to do a color matched paint? So it's about 900 bucks. I can mount the thing myself.

In the end, it's cheaper than the $1200 MazdaSpeed Motorsports is going to charge me for a similar bumper..., although theirs comes painted.

It's possible but the effect is, as was mentioned a few times here, a freshening to an 09 look (sans mustache). It's definitely functional in terms of oil cooler air supply. As some may already know, AutoExe was founded by the same people that founded MAZDASPEED jp, so you can always expect high quality fitment and functionality. I won't claim that it's wind tunnel tested but it's possible.

Paul.
